Wow! Low and solid bass, plenty of detail with not a trace of harshness, and glorious midrange. I've paired this with my Sony NW-WM1A and I listen to DSD and hi-res FLAC acoustic music - classical, jazz, and vocals. Instruments and voice sound so realistic. And there's absolutely no fatigue. Highly recommended.

Excellent IEM but need to upgrade the cable
I got this pair about 2 months now. I really enjoy listenin on my Onkyo DP-X1A at a public place or in bed. The mid/high range it shines like my Grado RS2e. This is an open-back set, so that is impressive. But I wish the low range can be a little more boom. I decided to upgrade the cable to the Alo Audio Liz with 2.5mm balance connector and Ive noticed the bass is slightly improved and over all sound is louder but clean at the same volume. Over all Im happy with the sound and they can be in my ears for hours (but I take a break at 30 minutes per listening).

Accurate sound
Its being a week since I started to enjoying this piece of micro technology in my ears. Very well made earphones
I got a deal zone price on this earphones, 4 drives design earphones in this price tag is very good. I didnt try the original cable came in the package, so I cant say how good the sound it is using the original cable. I used a 16 core OFC balanced cable and it did deliver good sounds, hoping a better sound after more hours of break in.

Nice in ear monitors

Pretty Amazing
Ive owned 1 other high-end (Etymotic) pair of IEMs which I liked then left on a plane several years ago. Ive put off buying another. Recently, Ive been looking for new ones, mostly Shure 535s. In my digging I found the Westone W40s, which seemed like a good option and less $$$ than the Shures. My hearing isnt all that great for any number of reasons, but these things knock it out of the park. The combination of a Tidal subscription and these IEMs have made for a very happy listener.

Issue with cable
Had an issue with the right ear piece not snapping in and falling out of the mmcx connector everytime I put it in my ear. B&h doesnt have it in stock anymore any doesnt know when itll come. I use them for my job daily and cant get them replaced without sending to westone and waiting several weeks. Not happy with purchase beware of cable issues. They sound pretty good when you get the perfectly in your ears, certainly not worth the hassle

Solid headphones, great upgrade from the W20
Ive gone through the Westone W10 and W20 headphones, having each of them for a couple years. The W10 was *very* flat; it sounded clean, but the lack of any low-end made it rather boring. worthy of reputation
owned the w10's. cabling was weak. sound quality was a little under average for the price but certainly worthy of reputation brand wise. w20's are a severe step up with dual drivers and might i add better cabling. though they died on me after 24 hours of use so thats pretty upsetting. fortunately the ear pieces are interchangeable so ive got w10 in one ear and w20 in another. its a tad distracting literally but, definitely recommend and would buy again. i mean i hope...

I Love These
When it comes to in-ear monitors, I am finicky. They have to fit nicely, stay in place, and sound really good, especially the low end. These have the best sounding low drivers I've ever heard, and they are crystal clear. It comes with a dozen different foam ear pieces so you can find the perfect one. It also comes with a standard cord if you aren't using them as monitors. The cords are interchangeable. They are pricey, but this is one case where you really get what you pay for.

A True Audiophile In-Ear-Monitor
I never knew earphones can sound this good. Westone Audio did it again with their W40. This has been a step up from my W10 that I have. The sound of the Westone W40 is incredibly detailed and fun. It breaths new life to music. I enjoyed listening from my iPhone 6 jazz, vocals, rock, hip-hop, r&b, soul, etc. Imaging is slightly laid back. Amazing for an earphone. Very smooth and non-fatiguing sound. It is also very comfortable to wear all day. It is addictive that you will find your self listening for hours. Even in bed!

Replacement for my Klipsch earphones
The Westone W10 is a great sounding earphones that has iPhone controls. It is neutral sounding and has that non-fatiguing sound. It fits snug in your ears and very comfortable. Unbelievable Sound
The sound produced by this in ear monitor (IEM) is the best. I have owned other top of the line IEMs before, and the W60s clearly produce the best sound by far. The clarity and definition produced by the W60s is awesome in all frequencies, without sounding sibilant, screechy, boomy or artificial. I am extremely pleased with this product, and I am not easy to please. Highly recommended for those who want the very best.

How good is W60
