Sweet little scanner
I've used the PS286 Plus every day since receiving it about 10 days ago and I am very impressed. The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is because the included software needs improvement. The scanner has a very small footprint which is great since I had limited space. I find that I'm having fewer misfeeds as I've gotten more familiar with the machine. A great addition to my office.
I decided to go completly digital in 2015. I scann and file every piece of paper that comes through my office doors, both for business and personal. The Plustek desktop allows me do do this in a third of the time that it used to take me with my flatbed scanner. My PS286 SmartOffice Plus also scanns in duplex...and I haven't even started to use all it's functions yet! It doesn't get any better! Thank you Plustek!

Excellent product so far
I purchased the scanner to put all the documents into the computer that were needed for a refinance. It handled one- and two-sided documents, check stubs, licenses, ... anything I needed to scan, and it is very fast.The product works very well and it arrived quickly. B&H's price was very good too. I am very pleased with the machine. I have started emptying file drawers and scanning other things in.

Software problems with Yosemite
I bought the scanner, installed it no problem, but the Presto Pagemanager software that comes with it won't install. I get an error: This application requires Mac OS X v10.6 or later. As I am running 10.10.2, its pretty frustrating. Emails to Plustek go unanswered, and the support phone just rings, no answer. Cant tell you if this is a good scanner as I can not use it! Really frustrated.

Outstanding value
I purchased two of these for a utilities billing office. The programmable function buttons are a key feature, allowing the users to perform a variety of functions with a single push of a button. ... The only con is the software is a bit dated and not all of it is happy on Windows 7.

I bought my second one!
Overall, this scanner not only gets the job done, it's pretty reliable, too! I bought one for my home, first. Got addicted. Then, I bought one for my office. It's handy and has really helped clean up the paperwork! It's a good buy!

Nice little scanner
We use this scanner to scan in medical documents into our EMR software. We went with this scanner becasue it was Twain compliant. Small - our space is limited so it easly fits right where we need it and helps with our efficiency

Great little machine!
My company bought one of these scanners and it works so well, we bought two more. A good bargain for the price. Easy to set up and use. Will buy another if we wear these out.

Like it so much got one for my wife.
