I bought this keyboard to control my computer from my chair in a different room of my house and its okay as long as I have it on a reasonably flat surface that is not my legs nor metallic. My experience is that I have to cycle the power a couple times before my Linux machine responds to it and even though my computer has UEFI firmware, it isn't recognized until GRUB has loaded. A Little Disapointing
I usually hand out 4 and 5 stars, but this product gets 3 stars because it isn't as good as the similar Logitech K.400 Plus. The MS Media Keyboard falls behind in: 1. The multi-finger operations on the trackpad (like scrolling) are hard to use. 2. The wireless range is also low, which is crticial to keep the trackpad from being jerky. 3. Fine for MacOS, if you accept its limitations...
I purchased this to operate an old Mac Mini in my shop as a get-by web browser / iTunes music player. The trackpad -- at least in 10.9 -- will not register multi-touch input. Which makes navigating the OS rather clumsy. Otherwise, the keyboard itself is fine. To be fair, I've yet to see if drivers are available from MS to correct this. Will update - if able - once that determination has been made.

Replacing both my mouse and keyboard!
This is a great little keyboard! I am a windows 10 user. I simply plugged in the blue tooth adapter and I was in business I have used it for about 2 weeks now. It has not been disappointing. I will add external Hard drives to my system sometimes . It will take a second for the system to find the keyboard. Otherwise, it's very good keyboard!

perfect W8 keyboard for non-touch monitor or laptop
Use it for Windows 8 on old laptop and desktops. It has the same function on touch pad instead of screen. Allow touch screen functions away from computer when you lean back on couch. Nothing negative for comment. Great price! Would like to have backlite keyboard with solar panel.

Almost perfect
This is my second order of the same keyboard. It is perfect for Windows 8 but there is a small problem. After I used it with Windows 8, I can not use it with Windows 7 anymore./ Otherwise, it is great but there are improvement for a model with solar power and backlite keyboard.

it is truly the best
This unit is great for the price it's sold fof. I bought the keyboard to control media player. I just put in USB transmitter and I had control with a keyboard having any cables on my way. I would recommend this unit many times over because of how good it works.

Decent Keyboard for HTPC
Not the most accurate touchpad or fluid typing experience, but it serves its purpose well enough (couch operation of HTPC). Not having all Windows 10 gestures work is also an annoyance, but I don't use them all that often anyway.

wireless keyboard
disappointing and causes my browser to lockup and crash. also no caps lock indicator light. will be returning asap. next keyboard will cost more but I'm more than willing to pay for increased performance
