My 35mm negs are safer now
I'd previously been using just binder pages/sleeves to store my negs, but I was having an issue where my film was getting scratched as I slid it in and out. These are perfect for protecting the film, and I feel so much better about handling my negs after (carefully!) placing them in the side lock sleeves. The only downside that I anticipate is when printing a contact sheet, there may be a line where the side lock sleeve is folded over, but I don't think this is too big of an issue.

Great product
I really like this type of sleeve over the traditional kind that requires you to slide the negatives in and out; I always feel like I am scratching the negatives. The side lock allows you to drop the negatives in with no sliding.

A better way to store negatives
It took a while for me to find a storage mechanism that did NOT involve sliding a negative 4 inches through something which will inevitably scratch it. This is it; no sliding - a better design

Exactly as described
Not a very technical product, but if you're dealing with a lot of old negatives, you should probably replace the sleeves. These sleeves filled the bill for me.

For storing negatives safely, nothing else will do. The sleeves are just the right size and easy to use.
