The GXT 232 is a nice and sturdy entry level USB mic aimed at streamers and YouTubers, although at a respectable cost. While it looks impressive, the main draw back is inherent with all low end condenser microphones, they pick up every sound in the room. This means that to get the best out of it you would need some sort of audio software to tweak levels. Still, for starting out or even a slight upgrade from a headset microphone you cannot go wrong with the GXT 232.

Great but caused my laptop screen to flash because of a clash with the built in microphone. Could not find dedicated drivers for this device. Can fix with Windows 10 diagnostics but if unplugged issue comes back.

My husband needed a mic to do professional recordings. So far no complaints about the quality and very easy to use. The only thing is you need some kind of recording software (can be downloaded for free) to record otherwise the sound will be very quiet but it might be just out computer. Looks exactly as it’s pictured of this photo.

My son bought this to start him off on youtube - easy to assemble although it is very sensitive so you do get a lot of whistling, but once it has settled down it does the job. Would recommend to a first time user/ Only down side is that the lead is very short.

I enjoy the product. But I what I will say is that the pop filter can’t be properly fastened to the metal holder and so falls off all the time and makes it really hard to use. This is really annoying but may also be a manufacturing problem with my specific one Also wish it had a longer/adjustable tripod. I feel like it is very awkwardly low down. However it does still pick up on sound just maybe not the best. You get what you pay for really

My use case for this microphone is mainly for pc gaming voice comms, and video calls. It's an omnidirectional microphone that is clear and and picks up noise easily, so when using the provided desktop tripod I would recommend push to talk over an open mic. Therefore if you're a streamer or have a podcast I would purchase an arm mount for this microphone. But if you're a casual user like most and don't want to spend £100+ I would highly recommend this product!

This product is great if you have a complete silent room. It picks up every little sound. I had to use it with no TV and/or background noise at all. No software to fine tune it either. Build quality is okay and if you can have complete silence it will pick up your voice fine, though sounds a bit echoed like you're in a large empty space. Maybe having it quite close to your face could change that though.

I am very pleased with this USB microphone. I work at a hospital radio station. Unfortunatly due to COVID-19 virus outbreak I need to present shows from home PC. The sound quality is good. The included pop filter adds to the value.

It’s definitely ideal for a new YouTuber, had a few issues with my recording systems picking a decent volume from the microphone. Microphone is really good but can’t seem to edit the volume of it on windows 10. Can max out the volume but still a bit quiet. Overall it’s a perfect and cost effective starter tool for your needs
