Great for weddings! Less issues vs. my G3's
Been using Sennheiser G2's and then G3's for weddings the last 7.5 years. Nice mics. Great sound. Fairly reliable. Very robust. BUT...I got tired of interference. Not a Great Mic, Not as good as UWP series
I bought these to replace lost or broken UWP series transmitter receivers for our EX1 and EX3 cameras. Unfortunately, they suffer from several issues that make them worse than the old series (which were not as good as the Sennheiser EW100 series, either). Good system for Sony FS7 Camera
Picked up this system with my Sony FS7 camera. If you also buy the SMAD-P3 hot shoe accessory, you can plug the receiver right into the hot shoe and you get a cable-free wireless system for your camera. Corporate environments = trouble
It pains me to do this, as overall I've been happy with these units (bought 2 of them in 2017), but they have a glaring weakness in corporate environments. Although I can't give technical input on these, I turned them on, plugged in, and was recording perfectly. Sound is very clean and ambient nise fairly low. Lower than a shotgun 2-3 feet away. Great unit! The packs are well built, sturdy antennae. The auto sync feature is great, although sometimes it doesn't connect if you have the packs mounted already. I can't comment on the mic, I use my Sanken Cos-11d with it, but it sounds great. I've had very few issues with interference so far, and when I did I was able to use the scan feature to easily find a clean frequency. The Sony wireless system is comparable to other similar price points on the market, but does away with the flimsy battery door that some have. I often interview non-film people for videography, and I need my mic to be bullet-proof, which Sony does well with its side-inserted battery holder. Good set of features with this unit. I bought two pairs of this lav set. Unfortunately the mic interacts with an occupancy sensor that is built in pretty much every office space. It overloads the mic that it doesnt properly capture the voice that is intended for recording. I have had multiple emails and calls with Sony technicians. Finally a wireless system that works
I own a Evolution series wireless lav from Sennheiser and I picked one of these up because I wanted to try another brand. I'm happy with the Sennheisers but I think the design of the Sony wireless lavs may be slightly better for the money. First off I get better range out of the Sony wireless system. Second, the battery life on the Sony system is a bit better. Thirdly, Sony offers frequency ranges that are below the FCC restructuring plan scheduled to go into full effect within a few years. That being said they produce great sound work well and are at a price point that doesn't break the bank.

Great Product
I have only used this product for just a couple of weeks in producing educational videos for U-Tube and Vimeo. Following the Quick Start sheet was straight forward and I was able to sync the transmitter and receiver in a couple of minutes. Setting it up on my video camcorder was easy. Without making any adjustments, I have found the quality of voice recording from that initial syncing to be quite good. The DVD disk has the manual in multiple copies for different languages. Since the icons are not labeled it took a moment or two to find the english version.

Appending My Earlier Review
Having now worked more with this bodypack system, I'm going to mention a problem that makes it less desirable to me as a lav unit compared with a Sennheiser G3... it has noticeably more noise/hiss than the G3. I've tried every configuration I could to optimize the noise to good audio ratio, and it always added more noise/hiss to the recording. It's not a lot and is barely noticeable when the volume isn't cranked up, but it is there. It's a shame, because just about everything else is superior to the G3's. But quality of sound is number one.

Nice system, cheap battery tray
We've been using these mic's for a year now, and overall I'm very happy with them. Dropouts are nearly nonexistent. They can be a little complicated to program, but once you get one the IR transmitter and receiver will let you match the others. My only complaint is how cheap Sony makes the battery trays. We keep going through them because the springs are so bad that they won't stay in the mics. You can use a piece of gaff tape to hold them in place on the body pak mic or the receiver. I just ordered 6 battery trays to try to get ahead.

Noob to wireless microphones likes UWP-D11
So this is my first wireless microphone package and Im not disappointed with it. I did a ton of research on the UWP-D11 lots of stuff you can see on YouTube. I initially purchased the 941 Mhz of this package and realized that you need a licence to operate it in the USA. so I returned it to B&H then purchased the 470 to 542 Mhz package with no problems at all. Im very happy with this being part of my boom kit and can see it lasting a long time. If youre looking for youre first wireless mic this is the one to get.
