The image quality is great for the price the but the menu's are painful to navigate. Not much thought was put into the design of the camera. The shutter button I absolutely hate. It doesn't protrude enough to find it without physically looking for it with your eyes and you have to press it just right to get it fire. Very frustrating. I much rather prefer the Canon PowerShot G9 X Mark II which I also own.

Professional quality videos.
This camera takes professional quality videos with the right lighting. I bought it to shoot videos as a beginner. This is the camera to buy to film professional quality videos at an affordable price. Lighting is the key. I bought three panels from B&H as well to make my videos absolutely stunning. This camera delivers.

SONY RX100 2012 Vintage What a Steal 2019
I understand those complicated menu head games-but what images! Are fullframe and APC sensors required for routine pictures? 1.8 f/stop is a big plus. Gorgeous flash pictures. Sturdy construction. The 28-100 mm lens range may be a bit short. A true value.

Can't Download Images
This was a college graduation gift from my parents to my daughter. She took thousands of images over the past 2 weeks during her graduation trip to Europe, and came home to find that she can't get the images off of the camera. It doesn't work with Windows, like every other device we've owned, and the proprietary Sony PlayMemories Home software is either not recognizing the device, or the cable is malfunctioning. Not impressed with image quality.
I bought this camera refurbished elsewhere. It is in great condition with the exception of the lens barrel, which had some dings. Otherwise, everything works great. After looking at many images, I wasnt that impressed. For a 20mp camera and a Zeiss lens, I should have been blown away. But I am not, maybe its the small sensor. Too much hype for this camera. Video is excellent, however. But I bought it for travel photos, so I dont know if I will keep it or sell it. If you Vlog, you will like it.

Very Bad.
I purchased this camera to replace an old Canon Power Shot. I only use it to take pictures of items to list online. It is used inside, with the same lighting and same background. I shoot stationary pictures, nothing moving. This camera is terrible for this. I thought it was me not using it correctly. I had my brother help with settings, he is a photographer. Great Camera at a Great Price
The Mk II through VI were a bit pricey so I picked this and couldn't be happier. I can get by without an EVF and the lenses for the III through VI aren't great. This has a great zoom range as well. 28-100 equivalent for 35mm which is perfect.

Excellent Photos
The one complaint I have with this is that when trying to do manual focus, it does not show a meter similar to the A7ii. If you are way out of focus it is very hard to use the focus ring and quickly determine which way to spin it. Otherwise, it is easy to change settings, customize the function menu, and take great pictures. Having 20 mp and RAW in this size of a camera is awesome.

I've always wanted a pocket camera as lugging around a DSLR isn't always convenient. The 1" sensor, the ease of shooting in manual mode, and raw output format make this camera a winner. Amazing Value
Very impressed with all of the features and quality packed into such a small camera. Has great detail with the 20.2mp, and shooting in RAW is a huge bonus. Shooting in RAW+JPEG limits some of the options, such as not using digital zoom, but this is a great camera. and B&H customer services is excellent to boot! Will keep shopping here.

If you own one camera let this be the one
I bought this camera twice, first in 2013 and now again because my old one got the lens stuck in the out position and won't retract or function. So I bought 2 cameras on a trial basis, the Lumix DZ200 and the Sony A6300. Are they better? Very disappointed
I had had my eye on this camera for a very long time, and when my Canon G-12 reached the end of its life I ordered the RX 100. Imagine my disappointment when, after a day or two, the lens would not open and close properly. The people at Sony thought an internal gear lubricant might have leaked, and suggested I send it to them for warranty service. (I gather from the reviews that others have had similar problems.) I returned the camera to B and H (their service was flawless) and bought a Canon. It's not as pretty as the Sony, but it works.

Great pocket camera!
This is a great pocket camera for day to day use when I don't want the bulk of my Sony a7II. It's also great for more candid shots, as sometimes people are intimidated by a "real" camera pointed at them. Don't let the size fool you though, the RX100 image quality is superb!

A serious upgrade from my first digital point-n-shoot, the RX-100 is not quite perfect, but still very, very good. Controls are easy to figure out (print size on the manual is so small it's hard to read), though there are a couple I'm still getting the hang of. Beautiful compact design with excellent lens
I wanted something pocket size, light, easy to use, with large sensor, good lens , with point and shoot and few variable programs to play with - basic Rx100 has it all. I wanted it better than the iPhone camera but not cumbersome. I'd stick w another Canon
From minute I used this camera, it has had issues on and off. Everything from blurry or delayed pictures (when standing still and not doing anything out of ordinary--it works fine in same situation at other moments), to errors that made me need to remove battery and restart camera. This is an excellent travel and documentary Camera
This is a terrific travel and documentary photography camera that is small enough to carry on daily commutes to work, business trips, unplanned hikes and running errands. I shoot monochrome and both the RAW and jpeg files are terrific. The movie button gets in the way sometimes and I wish that the camera had a front dial for adjusting the aperture (I shoot aperture priority) as I have to look away from the scene to adjust the f stop.
