Great little chip! Can't beat the Price/Performance.
I recently decided to go into PC gaming and instead of buying a $900 prebuilt and getting great performance I wanted to test myself and build my own PC for as cheap as I possibly could just to see how much better the cheapest PC I can build is better than the console gaming I am used to. I had a bunch of parts but the main two parts were this pentium G4560 and a GTX 1050 ti and all I can say is that it blows my PS4 and xbox one out of the water. ... Show More

Low Cost Hyperthreading
Excellent value for the money if your are building a value Pc this is the way to go and the socket can be upgraded for a more powerful option like an i5 or an i7

The best bang for your buck CPU, the Pentium G4560.
The Pentium G4560 comes from the newest line of Kaby Lake processors from Intel. Having just been released the Pentium G4560 comes unrivaled in budget performance. Being stock clocked at 3.5 GHz the processor is able to not only run your operating system smoothly, it is able to play any current triple A games with the right configurations/graphics card set up. One new feature that was previously not in the Pentium line would be Hyper-Threading, a... Show More

Bang+4+Buck=Unbeatable
I've done builds with a g4400, i3-6100, i5-6600k, and i5-7500. Is this the fastest or most versatile? No. Was my total build under $400 and capable of playing FO4 on 1080p ultra @ 60fps... yes. Best budget chip in years.

Amazing pair with a 1050Ti
Now i can fire canons 9000 times faster! No seriously though this thing is insanely good for 1080p, near a Haswell I5

Best Entry Gaming Processor!
When I saw that Intel was being sneaky and created a few Kaby Lake Pentiums with Hyperthreading, I knew I wanted to give it a try. Once I saw the price, I was even more pumped, only a few percent behind an i3-6100, but you can get this CPU and a cheap motherboard (make sure you have a skylake CPU to update the BIOS on an H110 board) for LESS than the 6100! Built this system for just over $400, games high/ultra at 1080p! (8700 points on 3DMark Fir... Show More

Good for the price.
I haven't installed windows on the computer but so far it works on the bios so i don't think I should have any problems. The thermal compound on the cooler wasn't covered with plastic so it was all dirty.

Awesome price for such a great processor
I used this CPU in my new build. I upgraded from an older AMD Phenom II x4 810, and the difference is night & day. This CPU is the budget king right now. Performance per dollar can't be touched by AMD.

Best Budget Processor for Gaming
This processor is now being used in an amazing budget gaming PC with this little beast making it all possible. The gaming performance of this Pentium is on par with its Kaby Lake i3s and even close to some older i5s. There is almost no cons to consider other than it is only a dual core. Yet with its new refresh of Kaby Lake and hyperthreading enabling 4 threads makes it an amazing, unique value. No processor on the market can compare to the power... Show More

Runs hot
If they're going to ship these things with awful thermal compound under the integrated heat spreader, they should just leave the IHS off to begin with and let the end user add their own and re-lid it.

Great value gaming CPU!
Beast of a little CPU, cool and quiet! Gaming with a GTX 1050, GTX 1050 Ti, or GTX 1060 would work well, I'm using it with a GTX 1050, runs great! Only a few percent behind the i3's in games, but costs way less! Can get a cheap motherboard and this CPU for about the same as an i3!

What a surprise
This CPU really amazes. I never expected a Pentium to perform like this. For my particular game, this is as good or better as my Core I3. A high Passmark benchmark rating got me to try this. Very glad I did.

The best CPU you can get for $65
By far the best CPU in this price range, practically a top-binned i3, for half the price. It'd be foolish to get anything else. Side note: Some motherboard haven't been updated to support Kaby Lake CPUs yet. You may need to 'jumpstart' your motherboard with a Skylake CPU, update the microcode and swap your Kaby Lake CPU back in.

Budget Kaby Lake
This new 7th Gen Intel processor will give you most of the features you could find on an Intel Core i3 for half the price, without doubt this is the best entry level processor to build a low budget pc.

Kaby Lake Pentium 4620 shipped fast - works hard
B&H had the best total price and shipped fast. Running FFmpeg for Windows (Handbrake) has been shown some spectacular transcoding. 1.8 GB of 640x480 .mov/mpeg4 transcoded to mpeg2-2.5 Mb/s average bit/sec. Ran at 720 frames per second. Couldn't be any more happy.

Exactly what I expected, the intel I5 is the perfect amount of power once overclocked. Using this until AMD's cpus are launched.

Very nice microprocessor, noisy cooler
It's a very powerful processor. I program on some heavy software and got the compiling time really low. The stock cooler maintains it at less than 70 C, but it's really noisy.

Great overclocker
Although Kaby Lake has gotten a lot of flak, it's still a great overclocker. This is currently running at 5.2GHz in my rig, with only 1.35v. Obviously, your results may vary based on the silicon lottery, but all in all 5ghz was shockingly easy to achieve. If you need a system right now and can't wait and see what AMD is doing with Ryzen, I highly recommend this chip.
