Fit On My HD 400 Headphones
Sennheiser no longer makes the original cushions for the HD400 headphones, but say these fit, and they do. The foam is more open celled than the original, so it isn't quite as comfortable, but it is very nice to have my headphones usable again.

Do not fit HD40 headphones
These pads are made to fit OVER the HD40 head phones, but they are too small and will not stay on.

Perfect Fit
I bought these as a replacement for the HD414SL original earpads. They are a little thinner than the originals, but fit perfectly. Only wish I could get color choices. A great buy.

I am so pleased that you even have these for sale!! I bought the headphones back in the early '80s and loved them. I stopped using them when the original ear cushions deteriorated. I was wise enough to keep them. I have finally retired and am refurbishing my hobbies. I searched everywhere for materials to make the cushions and contacted many stores to replace them. Good to go
Very glad to see these were still available, given the age of my 'phones and the seeming 'throw-away' nature of electronics these days. Easy to install, and I like they're not the original yellow color. Comfortable and a good price. Thanks for keeping these in stock.

Made my vintage Headphones new again!!

Replacement Ear Cushions for Headphones
Fit and feel just fine on my very old (25years, more?) Sennheiser HD410 SL. Do I miss the yellow originals? They were ugly but distinctive. Black works just fine.

Sennheiser HD40 Replacement Ear Cushions
To me, headphones are a very personal tool - not unlike a toothbrush or eyeglasses. I've owned these HD40's for at least 25 years and use them for all kinds of audio playback & live monitoring striaght and through headphone amps. Perfect fit
These cushions are a perfect fit for my 30+ year old HD400s. I've had two sets of the original yellow ones disintegrate on me over time. Looks like these will last a lot longer.

Does not fit HD40 headphones
Regardless of the label these do not fit on the HD40 headphones. I bought 2 pair and will have to trim them to fit. I could have just bought foam at a craft store it I had wanted to do that.

Quality Foam & Perfect Fit
Previous replacement foam cushions disintegrated over time due to the low qualify of the foam used. It appears that the foam used for these cushions is of a higher quality. The cushions fit perfectly.

Wow! Imagine having these in stock!
I needed replacement foam ear cushions for 15+ year-old Sennheiser HD-40's and B&H has them in-stock. Amazed.They did not seem to fit, at first, since they cover the earpiece frame rather than nest as the originals did. Ultimately they were made to fit and may be better than new. These work for HD40, with modification
These are designed to enclose the headphone assembly, but the HD40 used a flat pad which fit into a recessed area, with a central barbed plastic bit which fit through a hole in the pad, and helped hold the pad in place. So, to use these, I made a hole in their center, and pressed them into place. They have a different profile, because the extra foam which is designed to fit over and around the headphone ends up being tucked in. In any case, these do work, with some messing around.

Parts you would not expect to find
I've enjoyed the sound and lightness of my HD-410SLs for a couple of decades now. The foam ear cushions, though, suffer from sunlight, body oils, etc., and eventually start crumbling. These cushions are pair #4 for these headphones. It's pretty remarkable that Sennheiser still makes parts for such old (and fairly-inexpensive) headphones. So I guess it isn't fair to quibble that this is the first pair of cushions which are not in the original yell... Show More
