For cameras with flip-down live view monitors, this is a solid add-on to provide additional height when the situation warrants. Built like everything RRS manufactures - stout but light weight - it's Highly Recommended.

The good and the bad
It fits and works just like advertised. The material and manufacturing is good. Instructions are clear and simply explained. Unfortunately it was 4 months between purchase and delivery.

solid
This is basically an aluminum baseball bat. Incredibly strong and does not affect performance while providing 10 of extra height. Win-win!

Exceptional build quality
This centre column adds the extra height I need without sacrificing stability. The wing collar is firm but does not require a lot of force to tighten or loosen. As with every RRS product this column is built to withstand the test of time (and a lot of abuse).
