I use an Arca Swiss tripod head. The camera just pops right on. Sure, that is normal with a quick release plate, but this is more of a extension grip than a QR Plate. Just perfect. Nice construction. I didn't think I needed the L-Bracket part, until I had a studio shoot with 2 days of vertical oriented shots. Definitely get the L-Bracket too. One shoot justifies it.
