Almost Really Right Stuff
I just received this tripod so I cant report on several months of using it. The instructions recommend transporting it in a bag ..... but theres no bag. My old Star-D and one of my Manfrotto tripods came with bags at 10% of the cost. Also, the instructions recommended use of locking drops on some of the screws - again, none was included. I think it will be a good tripod and Ill likely pass it along for even more years of use, but when you pay over $1,000 for a tripod, including a bag and suggested parts is not too much to ask.

Light and Sleek
I replaced my older TVC-34L with this TFC model which is 4.2lbs on my weight scale, as opposed to 4.7lbs for the TVC. I dont have use for a leveling base or center column that the TVC enables, so I now have a lighter and slimmer tripod in the TFC. There does not seem be be any difference in the the stability and resistance to vibration. I have no use for the handstrap that came with the TFC, and it was very easy to remove.
