Beautifully crafted.
RRS products get better all the time. This latest for my newest camera is a thing of machined beauty and is a perfect fit. I also bought the Quick Detach plug which works very well. RRS has milled down all but the most essential fit parts to make this light and slim. I am going to use the end lug for a strap that will be a hand grip and still have tripod use of the G 9. I think the price for this is most fair. I do not need the L part yet...we shall see. Likely not. But it is available.

Expensive.
Not exactly what I wanted because I have a grip installed and need an L Plate that works with a grip. Could not find one. That said, it is a fine piece of design. The storing of the hex key in the plate is a very welcomed feature. Fit and finish is excellent. BUT, I am practical by nature and do I need this level of sophistication in an L plate? I don't think so as long as it does not have any glaring deficiencies I would be happy.

Great L Bracket
This is a great L Bracket made to fit perfectly the Lumix G9 camera. It is in 2 pieces and the vertical portion can be adjusted to be flush on the camera or further apart. The needed Allen key can slide easily around the base plate and is held with a magnet. There is even a pin that fits in a quiding hole on the bottom of the camera body. This bracket does not interfere with the access to the battery access.

Precise fit
The plate perfectly fits the base of the camera. Once tightened it does not rotate. The magnetic held hex key if always on hand if you need to re-tighten. Expensive item but great quality as always with RRS.

Well-designed
The base plate s solid and easy to install and fits perfectly. As I have a different brand ball head, Im not using the quick release feature so cant comment on that.
