Tried it twice -- failed both times
I usually love OWC's stuff. I decided to use this RAID with a couple 4TB 7200 drives. Worked great for about 6 months (I work these things hard), then, always in the middle of a render or file transfer, the drive would suddenly unmount, creating major problems for whatever programs were working from it at the time. Great, solid product!
I've always loved stuff from OWC. This is no exception. Super solid build and simple setup. The enclosure is a little cramped when it comes to installing the actual drives, so it requires some patience. I have a couple 4TB WD Red drives installed in RAID0. Using it as a NAS backup drive, connected with eSATA. It' super fast and works perfectly!

Well built and easy to install hard drives
I bought this enclosure to install 2 2-TB WD Red hard drives in a RAID 1 setup for ripping CDs to. Appears to be be very well-made and HD installation was easy. Still trying to figure out how to install it in my NAIM STAR all-in-one player system, but i am sure it will work out.

Not for large hands
A little difficult to get drives loaded and connected, especially with large hands. Works well after installing drives.

Great Enclosure
Works exactly as I want it to. Installed 2 WD Red drives in RAID 1. Setup was easy and everything works as expected.

I would buy this again.
I have a couple of OWC enclosures. Solid construction. Metal enclosure helps to dissipate the heat.
