Great product for the money!
I have, so far, simply used this for still photography, and have yet to put a longer lens on it. But so far, I am truly impressed by its quality and sturdiness. The ball action and knobs, and panning are smooth and quite precise.

Great Little Ball Head
This is a great ball head for any dslr. my only complaint about it is that the ball and degree parts don't have separate tension nobs. also, this isn't really a complaint but the quick release is a little strange to use but it just takes time getting used to. However, this holds my camera beautifully and doesn't move at all. It goes great with my Slik 700dx tripod legs.

Very Handy.
I got this as a general upgrade to my tripod with panoramas in mind, among many other other things. By supplementing it with a slightly extended plate, finding nodal points is easy and a lot cheaper than the alternative. It unlocks easily enough for me to improvise, but locks steadily enough for me to be neurotic. It feels well built and the spirit levels on the top by the plate and the knob allow for straight horizons in both portrait or landscape orientation.

Great Tripod
This is a great tripod for an amateur photographer. It's light and very stable. I would definitely recommend this. I have attached a Nikon D7100 with 70-200 f/2.8 VR II and was very happy.

Sturdy, well-build ball head
I use the BC-126 on an Induro AT214 tripod to support a D7100 with a 70-300 mm lens and extension tubes. The tension adjuster helps set the camera exactly where I want it with absolutely no sag or creep even in portrait mode. The head and panning plate are light and sturdy and operate smoothly. For my amateur purposes, the BC-136 would have been overkill.

Excellent Ball Head
I used this ball head in conjunction with the Oben ACM-2400 Monopod on a trip to Alaska. It was used for wild life photography and worked very well.

Great Addition to my tripod
The pan head I had was not able to support my lenses. The 3-Way Pan/Tilt Head is great. It allows me to move my camera in any direction and is much sturdier. It is very well built as was proved when I fell the first day I used it. The head flew off but when I put it back on, it when on perfectly. Not a thing wrong with it.

Oben suits my needs perfectly.
This Ball Head and quick release was purchased to replace a Promaster that was way too large and heavy. The Oben has the same load capacity is much lighter and smaller and is actually easier to adjust than my previous one.

Overall good product.
What's good: Fairly light, sturdy, and the control knobs. No so good: Beware the need for a Allen (Hex) Wrench. The screw attaching the plate to the camera does not have a twist handle, you will need to have a wrench to fasten the plate to the camera. A wrench is supplied in the box.

I have recommended this tripod
I got this tripod trying to get a good tripod for travel or carrying during several hours. I think this is the perfect combination of weight and sturdiness I was looking for. Extended hight is more than I needed and the folded size is perfect for luggage. Very sturdy for my gear, set's up very easy. Ball head is very easy to use, it holds my camera in position nicely. I would liked a ball head that had independent lever for horizontal panning but it was over my budget. Bottom line, great value, great quality tripod. I just had it for a few weeks but seems to be durable.

Well built
Solid and well built. Quality is comparable to heads that cost twice as much or more. Added it to an old set of legs and now have a really nice tripod.

Rock Solid
Very well constructed and easy to use. Control handles are short and don't get in the way like some pan-tilt heads. When attaching quick release plate the to camera make sure it lines up so the release on the tripod is on the right side. Otherwise when you turn the camera vertical you will not be able to rotate on the vertical axis. The instruction manual shows a diagram but no text about this. Great value for the money.

Best Design at this Price
I bought these tripod legs to use with a Manfrotto 3126 fluid head and a Vortex spotting scope. I own an Oben monopod (CTM 2400) and have been impressed with the thoughtful design, so when looking for a set of tripod legs, Oben was on my list. Simple
Everything here is pretty self explanatory. The levels are quite useful in setting up a shot and the dial around the bottom is nice for giving you a number to work with in panorama shots.

Great an Light Weight
Ive been using this tripod for everything you'd expect. Low light, slow shutter speeds, and just all around stabilization. Super light, and portable. the carrying case is perfect. it fits my tripod legs (with the head attached) and my monopod (with the head attached) all at the same time. plus i rigged it up to strap right on my backpack. The shoulder strap also works really well as long as you have a side bag, but with my full backpack its fairly useless (just the shoulder strap that is). Great solid design.

great tripod!
seems to be a great tripod, very sturdy. easy to set up. took some playing with and viewing of youtube videos to figure out how to use all features for a novice photographer that hasn't worked with a lot of tripods before, but once that was figured out, it was easy to adjust. love the carrying case and bubble levels.

Great Ball Head
I bought this as a replacement for my Manfrotto 3-way head. What an upgrade! Strong, heavy-duty, simple to use, quick to adjust, and well made, the Oben BE-117 is a joy to use! I love the Arca-Swiss quick-connect, so much more sturdy than the Manfrotto it replaces. And the ability to dial in just the right amount of tension that I can move the camera around to what i want, and it won't move when I let go. So nice to not have to worry about tightening and loosening when I want to make an adjustment. Highly recommended!

Stiff and no play
I really love this head, and the best part is that it doesn't move AT ALL while at extreme angles with my Pentax 67 on top. My only complaints are that is doesn't fit into the Oben bag with my tripod without taking the handles off. This is annoying, but I don't have anywhere else to put it. Great for Travel
I normally use another manufacturer's Carbon Fiber leg set with a Gimble head for my large lenses. This unit is perfect for travel and can handle hefty lenses if you know how to shoot them. Excellent with body/short lens combinations and some mid to long end zooms with tripod collars.

Works Well and holds the weight
I got this for my Oben leg set, and this head does an awesome job of holding my 5 pound 6x7 camera. So far no matter how far I tilt it, it doesn't sag at all. I love all the levels that are on the head, as I'll never second guess if the camera is level. My only complaints are that it was listed as NOT having a quick release with it, but it in fact did.
