Well explained.
These leg lock levers are well made and are an exact replacement for the originals on my Bogen 3021 tripod.I purchased 3 to keep on hand as replacement parts as my tripod continues to age and I will be purchasing another set of 3 in the near future in case this part should ever be discontinued.

Saved my trusty 3036 from a sad and unnecessary death
My old workhorse Bogen tripod that I have had for years had two broken leg lock levers (upper and lower on one leg). I searched for so long for replacement levers and came across a review here for another 3036 so I purchased 4 which arrived the other day. An hour ago I replaced the levers, keeping the original screws. Use a metric socket and don't over tighten the nut. Super simple repair and my trusty beast is back at work. The levers sit a bit ... Perfect for an old 055!
I ordered this lock lever as a replacement for a broken one on an old Manfrotto 055. It fit perfectly and took about three minutes to change out. Fast shipping from B&H, too.

Perfect Replacement
Bought to replace a broken original pot metal lever on a bogen 55/manfrotto 3021 tripod. It fit perfectly, was easy to install and although I haven't used it extensively, I believe the nylon-like plastic will hold up better than the original metal part. Price was good too. I'm considering buying another one as a spare ... just in case they stop manufacturing the part (the newer tripod models use a different clamp style which would require replacing the whole assembly).

Tripod repair
Had a older bogen tripod that had the clamp handles break. B&H not only had the parts in stock but also had a great price.

worked with Bogen 3021 Tripod leg
The plastic lever on one of my Bogen 3021 legs broke. This replacement works though it is not perfect fit.

Good, but not as good as the original
Purchased this tripod leg tension bolt and handle to replace one that broke on a Bogen tripod I have had for years. First thing I noticed was that it was a plastic part replacing a metal one. I have concerns that it will not be as durable as the metal one was. It does fit exactly like the old one and it does work properly right now. I'm glad I ordered two in the event it fails again. Cudos to B&H, the price was less than anywhere else I looked and the item had free shipping.

Replacement Leg Lock Lever
This is a very practical replacement for the original leg lock for the Bogen/Manfrotto tripod. Just a slight-so very slight - different appearance wise from the original but an absolute excellent replacement.

Great price
I had a broken leg lock on my tripod. The first place I looked the price was outrageous. Then I found the exact piece I needed for a very reasonable price. It works great!

Easy to replace and works well!
I'm thrilled that I can still get replacement parts for my old Manfrotto tripod that I got sometime around 1990! This part is plastic where the original was aluminum - what's up with that? Oh, well - maybe this part will flex instead of busting like the original did. Replacement is easy if you are mechanically handy - the only tool you need is the correct size nut driver and something to pry the old nut lock off.

Exactly what I needed
Needed to replace a broken lever on my older tripod. (Bogen 3021). This was the exact part I needed and the price was excellent.

What doesn't B&H have?
Even though I knew this was the updated version of the leg lock I needed - I bought it and modified it to work. But I've been rebuilding and modifying my 20 year old Bogen tripod for years - just can't give it up to a new one - yet.

Great replacement
Two of the original cast-aluminum clamps on my 20-yr old 055 tripod broke the same day. Ordered six of these to replace all of the leg locks. Easy install. No issues.

Big disappointment
Despite the part number I got from Manfrotto's parts diagram this lever has been changed from design of the one I had. The part stripped almost immediately. The lack of help from Manfrotto's web site was very frustrating, I had to go to a vendors site to get anything useful. In the end I threw the monopod away and got one from another manufacturer, I no longer have any faith in their products.

Just What I Needed
This put my ancient tripod back into service. The broken lever on my tripod was of an earlier design and no longer available as a part. But with a bit of modification, I was able to make this one work fine. This comes with all the hardware.

Works as it should
I was taking pictures at 1am of a bridge being set in place and the weather was very cold at 10 degrees and when I turned the tripod lever to unlock the leg it snapped. I own 4 of these Manfrotto 3221W Tripods and it is nice to be able to get a replacement part when needed. This is the first time I've ever needed a replacement part for a Manfrotto.

Valuable replacement part
I broke two levers (upper & lower) on my vintage 12 lb. Bogen Manfrotto 3036 tripod, with the original geared, round column. Thanks to a forum posting by Henry Posner, I looked at the B&H website and located these hard to find levers. After a quick installation, I was again able to lower and raise the tripod leg; the upper and lower levers have different length screws so I had to use one of the original screws with the upper replacement lever. Perfect replacement leg lock lever.
Easy to install and didn't have to buy the whole new lock. Just make sure it's the right one for your tripod as from what I understand there are two types that look pretty much the same. One's a single and the other is a double lock.

Just a tip
If you have the older single spiral lever these will not work properly. they do not make enough tension to hold the legs. However if you are good with tools you can use a dremel, or a sanding bit in your drill and file down the dual spiral to easily make a single spiral.Look at the bottom of your original lever for a reference. Or check out this page.@

Thank you B & H
I ordered a set of 6 of these locking levers as 3 had broken on my Manfrotto 075B tripod. Easy to replace. Trick is to hand tighten knob just enough to stop rattle but no tighter. Works great. Use the original bolts and these levers can be used on either upper or lower tripod extensions. I was unable to order from Manfrotto stockists! Thanks very much B & H

Not the old single spiral lever
This didn't work on my 3021 tripod which is old enough that it uses single spiral levers (R055.04). You need to replace the entire locking mechanism.

work okay, but slightly diff
these work and not hard to install, but slightly different than the old parts on my bogen 3021: the length of the cylindrical part is a bit longer than on my old levers, therefore the stop (ie the ridges at the head of the lever) do not hit the stops on the leg clamp part of the tripod. Still, they work, just need to take care in tightening, since the stops don't function anymore.

The small, simple things
I have a strong attachment to my old Bogen tri pod. The new locking levers extend its usefulness, save me a lot of money and let the good grips fall to the bottom of my kit bag.

Just what I needed
This lever is plastic so time will tell how well it holds up. The original on my trusty old tripod (15+ years old now) was metal. This was easy to replace. The only trick is adjusting the nut to allow just the right clamping force - enough to keep the leg from collapsing, but not so tight that the lever might break. Once you adjust for that it works great.
