Small & Strong
The new lock system for the legs is quick and solid. Machined and assembled well. The ceter column, although not geared, is easy to use and rock solid at any level.

Best I could find
I'm sure there are better and worse tilt heads out there. I don't like the ball heads for my use. This is the best 3 way head without spending too much money IMHO

Great Head
I got this to use for general and studio work with a Nikon D810. This does the trick. This enables me to move the camera along any axis fast and its rock steady.

Love it. Holds the camera tight in any position. Canon 7d with grip and a 17-40mm L. I Plan to expand my gear and I know this head can hold what I put on it.

Bomb proof
Owned the 440 geared head and lost it. That head was not up to use w my 4x5. It developed some play. This is strong enough for hard core 4x5 w beefy lens.

Heavy duty tripod for my studio.
