Used for wetter situations where spikes are a must have on sandy, wet surfaces! These fit perfectly to the MT190CXPRO4 Carbon Fiber Tripod I bought recently, I have this type of spike on my 055 tripod as well, different model than these since the leg diameter is larger but they work great also! Can't imagine not having spikes when I need them! ... Easily screw the rubber foot down to cover the spike! A win win! ...

Fit the new tripod perfectly. Added about 3/4 inch to the total length of the folded tripod. The rubber feet slip right off so installation was easy. Adds to the ability to set up on a wider range of surfaces. You need to remember to screw down the rubber feet when packing up to retract the steel spikes so you do not rip up your tripod bag or something else.

The Rubber/Spiked Feet just introduced for Manfrotto's premier carbon fiber tripod make it even better. One wonders why they waited so long to make them available. Now no terrain is out of sight.
