OK... but just know that this casting is not of cast metal

I was pleased to find this casting at B&H, as not everyone sells it. My only reason not to give 5 stars is that it's not made of metal, as I'd hoped it might be. (I don't have a 165 Manfrotto speader, so I didn't know what to expect of a replacement part for that.) To me, the word casting these days suggests cast metal, but when I ordered I did wonder if it might be cast (i.e., from a mold) plastic, especially in light of the low price. It does s... Show Moreeem to be some kind of plastic. It looks to be a fairly sturdy plastic. Time will tell. For only about $15, I'm happy to give this part a try on my homemade wooden tripod project.Show Less
