Great product; complicated instructions
I received the Manfrotto Q2L Bracket for Christmas and have now just played with it. This product is GREAT. The design, materials, and construction are outstanding. I'm sure I will get many years' use of this item. However, the instructions are over complicated. I'm not a technical writer but I could write clearer instructions. I was able to align everything so all my lenses will be seated properly. Overall, I gave it 5 stars because it's a great product, as are all the Manfrotto products I own.

Great Addition,must have!!!
This is a great addition to my tripod.Very well built and holds my Canon 5D mkIV locked in tight. When I used the Q2 bracket that came with the tripod,my camera locked in but still shifted around. This solved that problem! It also makes it much easier to switch from portrait to landscape after youve leveled your tripod.Highly recommended!!

Does The Job
Sturdy accessory. Easy to fit on Canon 6D. It centers both axis well. Works well my current set-up.

Great Bracket
Exactly what I wanted. This bracket is perfect. Installs easily. Since I use the Manfrotto system this was my best bet.

A Solid Bracket
Overall, a well designed piece of equipment by manfrotto, once attached and aligned on your camera there is very little flex or movement! My one issue is you have to be very careful when you seat it in the tripod as it doesn't go down far enough for the lock lever to hold it securely unless you take the time to pull it tighter. It seems the QR bracket is not exactly the same dimensions as the one that ships with the head, a small spacer would probably fix the issue.

Great Product
Great product, made very well. I liked the Idea it came with a measuring device so you can set your camera up just right for vertical and horizontal picture taking. It fits well in my Tripod

I would buy this product again
The Q2 L bracket works very well with my ball head. The camera position is extremely stable.

Works Well
I use this with my Nikon D7200. Did require getting the grip battery to have correct alignment when switching from landscape to portrait, but I don't mind having the grip battery for many reasons. It took a bit of time to set it up, but not hard. And it's a bit bulky on the camera, but that doesn't matter either as this is only used when on the tripod. Can still use shutter cord attached to the camera even with the L bracket attached. Happy to have the level. Had good luck with a panaromic this weekend, and looking forward to many more!

Perfect for panos
I'm using it to do pano-stitching of vertical photos. It really helps, with a focusing rail, to keep the lens over the nodal point.

The perfect accessory for tripod and camera
Solid, functional and easy to use. I own a Manfrotto tripod and Nikon D810 - the L bracket is made specifically for this gear combination. Using the bracket, I am able to effortlessly switch between portrait and landscape orientation. The bracket forms a perfectly secure connection between the tripod and camera - this has helped to create very sharply focused images in either orientation.

Exactly what I needed for my Manfrotto setup.
I have the Q2 L Bracket fitted on my Nikon D-800 permanently, as I use my Manfrotto tripod constantly. The L-bracket is easy to fit and makes switching from portrait to landscape mode effortless and fast. The only minor negative is that I have to remove the L-bracket every time I need to change the battery.

Manfrotto Q2 L Bracket
Easy to setup, very flexible in use, nice Allen wrench storage socket-very secure, and very tight on the tripod

This great product could use some better advertising.
I use this bracket to mount my camera to a tripod for studio work with constant lighting. While not described adequately, it does include an effective anti-twist design that holds my camera rock steady even when large lenses are used in the portrait mode. It can be adjusted to fit most any SLR camera and probably others as well. It has soft contact surfaces that do not deface your camera, and it comes with the wrench and measuring tool needed for... Excellent purchase
No more slipping camera when in portrait. Lets me pay attention to the photography rather than the camera. It is light, compact, and I can leave right on the camera at all times. Exactly what I needed.

I could not be more pleased!
This bracket is exactly what I was looking for. I use it with a Nikon D700 and a Nikon D300. They fit perfectly on the bracket and both cameras line up almost perfectly on the target when reset from horizontal to vertical, and vice versa. The Manfrotto quick release plates work without a hitch on my Manfrotto ball head, which is mounted on my Manfrotto tripod. The small pressure plate mounted to the vertical leg of the bracket works very well. Th... Show More

Makes taking photos easy
I will use this product for landscape photography and portraits. It will make it easier and quicker to take a picture and hve the horizon straight. It makes the camera more bulky and heavy, but it is well worth it!

Not for Canon DSLRs
I ordered for use with Canon 70D and 5D Mark II. I could mount the cameras but could not center them per included instructions. Bracket covered up slots for shutter cables and HDMI so I couldn't use my CamRanger or cable release. If your camera accessory panels are on the left side, choose another brand bracket with this in mind. I'm giving it 4 stars because the bracket is solidly constructed and for cameras that fit properly it would be a great gear addition for use with Manfrotto Q2 mounting plates.

Excellent product
I own a Manfrotto tripod with a ball head, however I was having a hard time to take vertical pictures for panoramas. I did some research and decided to purchase the Q2 L Bracket made by Manfrotto. The L bracket is easy to use and it provides perfect vertical images.

Great Product. Worked perfect.
I needed a bracket to center the camera, in the vertical position, on my tripod for taking 360 degree panos. It worked perfectly. I have the Canon 5D mark II with a manfrotto quick release clip on the tripod. It centered the Canon camera perfectly. It does have adjustment screws which allow for some positioning flexability. I can now quickly adjust from portriat to landscape position on my tripod. Very high construction quality. I absolutely love it!!!!

BE CAREFUL! Universal mount!
I contacted a sales rep at B&H asking for help on an L bracket for my Nikon D800 paired with Manfrotto 496RC2 ballhead. Before purchasing, I thought this bracket was extremely pricey- almost just as much as my tripod ballhead and legs combined! But, I gave it a shot because L brackets are very useful for landscape photographers. Once I received it, I was impressed by the durability, seemed hard and sturdy as a rock!
