Light Weight;High Quality!

Dec 30, 2019

A most excellent tripod! All the functions are smooth as butter! The ball head has a small tension knob that allows for fine adjustments with just the right amount of tension, making it silky smooth to compose the shot, before tightening the main ball clamp. The clamping levers for the legs can be adjusted for just the right amount of clamping force, that when adjusted, make for smooth as butter operation of leg extension. The legs themselves deploy ... Light enough for long distance travel

Sep 14, 2016

This is a solid piece of equipment that's even strong enough to secure my DSLR with a 300 ML lens but not so heavy as to be cumbersome. The ball head is very responsive allowing for very precise tweaks when framing your shot and the adjustable legs give you additional flexibility. Best of all, this is a tripod that is easy to travel with thanks to the handy carrying bag. I recently took mine to Finland and the Czech Republic; it easily stowed und... Show More

A great tripod is a must for scenic pictures. Buy this one.

Mar 28, 2017

Love this tripod. High quality, heavy duty but still light enough to haul around for scenic's, and close-ups like flowers. Got my with a ball head that works great tightens down solid, with no movement. Legs adjust way out to get low angle shots. You just can't go wrong with a Manfrotto. Also own the bigger, heavier 190 version with a gimball head for birds and wildlife. Forget about he cheapo brands, they just aren't stable, head will slip and just feels cheap. Spend the money it will last forever.

I quality Tripod that I would definitely buy again (I did)

Apr 10, 2017

I use this Tripod primarily for my Astro work. It holds a Nikon D810 with a Nikkor 200-500 lens with no problem. The tripod feels sturdy and I have had no issues with the winds that I have dealt with. The max height of the tripod is taller than my eye level (I'm 6'2) so there are no issues with comfort or looking through the viewfinder of my camera.

Almost Perfection

Jan 10, 2018

Very nice replacement for my older pod. This unit is very sturdy, even at full extension, with my Nikon D5100 and a100mm Tokina macro lense. My only complaint is the ball head is very easy to unscrew from the tripod if the ball head is tightened. Be sure to loosen the ball head slightly before turning the ball head count counterclockwise.

Excellent

Excellent Quality and Sturdy. One peeve is i wish the panning and ball head didn't work in conjunction with each other and could lock the panning separate from each other but for the price that maybe asking to much so will be locking to upgrade the ball head otherwise great tripod.

Finally a descent tripod at an affordable price.

The moment I got it out of the box I could tell it was a quality unit. The legs extend easily and the controls are solid. It could use a bubble balance on both sides, but beyond that I like it. Can't wait to put it through it's paces out in the real world.

Very sturdy, and reasonably light. Easy set up - Legs lock very easily and positioning can go from very low to high.
