Great for Travel
This tripod is an excellent option for those who travel often with their gear. It easily fit into my checked bag (with removing the head though) and adds very little weight. I paired it with the 502 head and still had plenty of space and weight left to add all the clothes and personal gear I needed for a week of shooting in Mexico. Excellent Tripod in Pro Category
I use this tripod for wedding video. Its very stable and easy to asssamble. Specially the head is very smooth in movement and gives a very nice stable video. Very light and still very reliable.Zak.

High quality lightweight tripod
This is a premium quality lightweight tripod. The carbon fiber makes the legs stiff, strong and lightweight. They adjust in height quickly, easily and securely. However, my favorite feature in this tripod is the center column. It has the rare dual feature of being able to adjust height and level. The ball head at the top of the center column is used to level the camera by loosening the knob at the base of the center column. The height of the camera can be adjusted quickly without having to mess with 3 legs. I highly recommend this tripod for lightweight professional cameras.

Worth the $$ International Video Travel
Spent the money on the lighter carbon fiber legs and combined with the 701HDV tripod head (bought separately), this is a very light, stable, and functional tripod for international travel. I log about 100,000 miles a year traveling with gear, and couldn't be happier with this. I attach it to my Kata 207 rolling backpack and it only adds a few pounds. Mostly use it with an EX1 or EX3 or a 5Dii. It's highly functional with the center leveling ability which is great. Highly recommended for light video travel work. Significantly lighter than the aluminum counterpart legs.

Excellent tripod
Very lightweight and easy to carry. Quick, secure releases on legs and center column. Nice pivot ball the head mounts too prouducing more versatility for whatever head you go with. Legs adjust various ways for multiple leg configurations. Very nice for video or still photography. I bought it for still only using the 327RC2 head. Very nice combination.

Smooth and Sturdy
I've had good experiences with these legs. The legs extend very smoothly. I love the center column for quick height adjustments. Sleek carbon legs and red annodized parts make this a very good looking tripod as well as sturdy.
