Great Product
I have my monopod for a few years now but did not find it fool proof in low light situations on its own because it tends to move. I also found it difficult to carry it with me because I just couldn't put it down for a second, since the poor thing only has 1 leg! This product solved all my problems (related to the monopod of course!) The design is very smart, the legs go inside the monopod for ease of carrying. Once you need them, you unscrew the ... Great accessory for 679B monopod
Works great with the Manfrotto 679B monopod. Instructions were a bit tricky, but I got it together. I turned the monopod upside down and using a screwdriver, applied just a little twist to the silver sleeve. The sleeve slid on the bottom monopodsection easily and stayed positioned for the new base to be attached with the set screws. (hex key included.) Tightened everything securely; the base works as intended. The legs do rattle a bit inside the monopod, but that's a minor issue. Glad I bought it!

Another nice addition
I purchased this to use it to Manfrotto 679B monopod, one to use as a base stand for the THETA 360 camera and for a off camera flash light stand. The design and configuration, manufacturing is top notch, I am very happy with my decision. I received the stand approx 28 hrs from placing the order! Way to go B&H!

Excellent upgrade!
Pleasantly surprised to find that my older Manfrotto monopod could be upgraded to have some legs. Though not stable enough for a true tripod replacement (none of the monopod legs are), it gives some added flexibility when I don't want to carry my bigger tripod.

I bought this base to use with my Manfrotto monopod to take 360 pano images with the smallest possible footprint. As long as the ground is relatively level, they monopod is rock solid. The way the feet store inside the monopod is an excellent feature.

It does its job, but may not be for frequent run arounds.
It does its job, but can not be flipped up for quick runs, especially if you run around in a big crowd. If you have plenty of time to take it on and off, it's fine. I still keep it, but already purchased another Manfrotto with XPRO Fluid base kit.

Added convenience & stability
Walking around with a tripod gets tiresome bot a monopod can also be a 'walking stick' so adding this to the bottom gives more stability & portability too!!

Wish I Had Bought It Sooner
The base is very solid and installed quickly. It works as intended and definitely adds stability when using my Monfrotto monopod.
