Just What I Need
I had bought a Manfrotto joystick tripod head and it has a 3/8 female thread. I wanted to use this head on a tripod that has a 1/4-20 thread and these inserts worked perfectly. I did not need five, but for the price I'll have extras and may have use for them in the future. These are well finished and look like good quality. Of course, B&H packing and shipping was great, I got them quickly and they were tracked all the way.

The ones to get
These work perfectly. When I bought them, I also bought an identical bushing from Gitzo. The price for one single Gitzo bushing is about half as much as the price for this five-pack. I was curious what the difference would be. As far as I can tell, the difference is that these are labeled 'Manfrotto' and the other one is labeled 'Gitzo'. That, and the one that says 'Gitzo' costs 2.5 times as much. Buy these.

Must haves
These work great for converting the 3/8 posts on my Manfrotto 504 head to size them down for use with hydrostatic arms (montiors and recorders) which is essential when Im running a teleprompter to get the balance right. I can't imagine a place where these wouldn't be exactly what you need if you need to size down from 3/8 16 to 1/4 20

Don't overtighten, or else
They work, certainly, but if you overtighten them even slightly, they tend to break. Mounting a gimbal head on my tripod required this adapter, but as soon as I tightened the mounting, the bushing broke. In fact, each time I mount the head, the bushing requires replacement.

They work... BUT
These work great with Manfrotto gear and Manfrotto fluid heads, but have had bad luck using them with other manufacturers stuff. Can make them work with a bit of force, but it's not the way I like to use my gear. Will look elsewhere next time I need additional reducers.

Buying the set makes sense
It looks like the quality is better than some other generic connectors I had. I have yet to test them in the field, but I'm glad I bought five. You never know when you'll need one, and it's worth spending all day figuring out where you left the last one.

Work as advertised
Pretty basic accessory if you need to mount a 1/4-20 flat plate video head to a 3/8-16 flat plate tripod. I appreciated that the bushing was slotted. Really didn't need five, better to package two at a time at a reduced price.

Great Product
Work great and they are even better than the off brand ones we were using because they have a slot to stick a tool in for removing them from wherever they are mounted. Quality stuff and nothing wrong with them,

Quality product.
I know you can buy ones that look like these at a lower price, but it is hardly a major expenditure. I have some great products from Manfrotto so I was confident the quality would good. I was right.

Works fine
Good quality, clean threads, no sharp edges, burrs, good nickel plated hard steel. The 5 pack is a good value. Could have made them a little longer, (3 outside 3/8-16 threads), but they work fine.

Nice to have extras on hand
Works great. Allows me to use my Manfrotto head plate with my Gorillapod. The darn things are pretty small - great to have extras in my bag since these seem to grow little legs and walk away!

Good quality
I had a cheaper set and one of them broke within a day. So far so good with these. The threads were a bit tricky on one of them, but they are clearly stronger than the cheapo version.

Not as strong as i expected, 1st one broke after 1 week.
It was not as strong as i expected. Being an outdoors Hunting TV Show i have purchased many items from B&H, this has been the only item i have not been satisfied with.

Just what I needed
It bought a vintage Hasselblad and discovered that my quick release plate for my tripod ball head had a different screw size. Found this item and it works great.

Works as they are supposed to.
They fit well, and are of good quality. They are shorter than others I have, but I think that's a good thing because not all 3/8 holes are made equal.

Reducer Bushing works well
I ordered a smaller clamp but did not realize I ordered the wrong size. The bushing converts the larger treading to accept a 1/4 screw. Works great!

Works great with Manfroto stuff
I don't know what's different about these from others, but I have another bushing from another company and it doesn't work with Manfroto stuff.

Good product
Don't understand why Manfrotto has to have a different tripod attachment fitting, requiring a special fitting, than most other manufacturers.

Reducing Bushing Set - 3/8
I needed the reduced bushings to connect my Manfrotto 3/8 tripod head to my Velbon 1/4 screw tripod. Worked like a charm, very pleased.

It does the job.
It should be good for some short screws. For long screw, it gets jammed with the screw very easily, you'll need a tool to take it off.

Well made, very useful!
These are as good, or better as any I've seen. I did find some relly nice ones that were slightly longer (thus more threads) in Japan.

Must have
Those things are affordable and let me connect things that otherwise would not go together. I wish I knew those things existed before.

Good when needed
I used these to connect my Manfrotto fluid head to my slider. It was a quick and easy screw on with my hands and no tools needed.

Life saver
Love these little guys, change your 3/8 screw holes into 1/4 20 screw holes, always have a few of these in my ditty bag.
