Solves So Many Annoying Problems
I love this side arm. I shoot a lot of flat lay images for my social media, product photography, and for stock photos I sell online. Often, the images I shoot are in low natural light and thus holding my camera and shooting is less than ideal due to the slow shutter speeds. So much better with this tool. I did need to purchase aManfrotto Tripod Head separately (I use theManfrotto 804RC2 3-Way Pan/Tilt Head with Quick Release) but the pair are flawless together. I do need to also weight the opposite end of the side arm.

Great side arm
I used this with a Sony a7Rii and the 24-70mm F2.8 for some indoor still life. No issues what so ever. Stable, no need for weights on other end, and easily adjustable. Did its purpose very well.

Great product
So effective and useful! It works well and holds my gear securely. I did need a small screwdriver to remove the existing tripod head (which I would have liked to know beforehand) and I definitely needed a counter weight as well.

Works well
This does the job. I wish the installation and taking down is a bit easier than rotating it. If you have 2 tripod, you can keep one with sidearm and use it only for that purpose.

Works well with 131DD
Use this with the 131DD to make a T for tethered shooting. I put my tripod head on this side arm and it attaches to the end of the 131DD. I can raise and lower this for camera height adjustment. The 131DD attaches to my tripod legs and holds a Tablez or TetherTools Aero for my laptop.

Improve Your Product Photography
The side arm attachment allows me more flexibility in shooting food images. Attaching the side arm to my tripod allowed me to shoot down on my subject to give a different perspective. The only problem was removing the existing head in order to attach the new one. This proved to be very difficult as the head was wedged in tightly. It required a fairly significant effort and some brute force to release the head. This may be due to the fact that my tripod was fairly old and the head had never been removed in the past.

Great heavy duty arm for overhead shots
I needed this for some overhead shots and was impressed with the durable quality at a great price. I do recommend adding a sandbag to your tripod to keep the tripod stable. Great product!

tripod boom arm
I mount this arm on my tripod so that I can shoot parallel to the ground without having the tripod legs in the image. The arm attaches to the tripod solidly and, for the weight of my tripod head and camera (a Panasonic m4/3's,) is very stable.

Definately an asset for my use
I use this product for over-table work to take pictures for items to be placed for sale on the internet or for insurance companies. It definately helps me to get more reach and not to photograph the table legs. Some items cannot be photographed with just a tripod. I also catalog my items for insurance value and this has helped me. I put a weight of 5 lbs on the opposite end of the camera and that is more than enough weight for what is needed. I would be nice if the company would have some type of counter-weight.

sturdy enough
Sturdy build, the only downside is that when fully extended, there is still considerable shake.
