Just what I've been looking for!
This is the best tripod I have ever used, hefty but not too heavy, as sturdy as I will ever need, and totally secure. I had my Canon 5D complete with battery pack and a 300 mm lens and the tripod was rock solid steady. I would recommend this model to anyone interested in a sturdy, reliable tripod that can handle heavy camera and lens combinations.

Great Tripod
I wanted a heavy tripod for use in my studio for focus stacking. This tripod is as solid as I could wish. The various adjustments make this a flexible solution to my issues and, I would guess, to those of most studio photographers, no matter their level of expertise. It's weight is such that I would not recommend the tripod for field photography.

Worth Every Penny....
I needed a sturdy tripod that had a geared center column. After doing much research I decided on the Manfrotto 028B. It's become a life saver especially when you need to go high, just use the gear and you can get some really cool shots..... I use this for weddings and other events, it is great for when you need to get smooth stable shots.

Awesome Tripod
Manfrotto has had this design for decades and I love it. It's relatively light weight aluminum, very sturdy and, more importantly, it goes up very high when fully extended so it can be placed someplace and you can shoot over people's heads. I've have one (under the olr 3048 number) for almost 20 years and will keep it long after.

Perfect Height!
We bought this Tripod to replace a tripod that did not have a the height necessary for where we would place the tripod for our church services. Now instead of placing the tripod on a road case we can extend the legs to a height that works for our purposes. Not only that it still breaks down to a manageable size.

I would buy this product again
This is a great medium weight tripod. I can pick it up with a video camera and move it around without much effort. It is very stable and provides all of the features that I am looking for in a video/photo tripod. I shoot both photography and video for weddings and this tripod does it all.

Good Product
I purchased the legs as a package with the 503HDV Fluid Head by Manfrotto. Good combination. I use this tripod with my Canon XL2 and so far it holds up great. I have no compliants. I will say, I have only used the tripod inside so far. I cannot tell you how it holds up on uneven ground.

Great tripod
I use this product to shoot weddings. I shoot with DSLR cameras which are light but the tripod can hold more weight. The are quick to set up and adjust. Perfect lever to raise the camera higher without having to adjust all of the legs. Work great with attaching to a dolly. Love it.

Just what the doctor ordered!
Easy Setup, Very Sturdy and Travels well. I bought this tripod for a church event and was amazed at how easy it was for me to use. Having the capability to raise and lower the height of the tripod was essential. I would suggest this product to anyone looking for a great tripod.

Solid and Well Built
I basically bought this to mount a boom for video because my older tripod couldn't handle the weight. It performed flawlessly, was easy to set-up and break down and is solid even when fully extended. Nicely designed and not too large or heavy to transport for it's capability.

Excellent Tripod
I use this tripod with a mini-DV panasonic camcorder and it just work fine for my needs. Its sturdy and lightweight, but heavy enough to get pan shoots without any undesired movement. Its price too, makes this gear a must-have for every video aficionado or aspiring pro.

I would recommend this to anyone
We currently use this product for our weekend celebrations at The Vineyard Church. This is way taller than we expected, but that is one thing that is great about it! We needed a tall tripod and we got it! There aren't really any things that are bad about this product!

Love the height I get with this tripod.
Yes, it is heavy, but if you want to shoot from high places, it is GREAT! I do wedding videography and also film a lot of bands. It is great in a club as it allows you to get above the waitresses and anyone else walking around. It is very sturdy.

Tall as it could be
If you need to get above the people in an event this is the tripod that you should be using. I have had many tripods over the years and all of them are to heavy and not high enough. This baby is tall and light weight. Great product.

sturdy tripod legs
These tripod legs by Manfrotto were exactly what I was looking for. I can get way up over crowds and audiences. Combined with the 503HDV PRO FLUID VIDEO HEAD I have the perfect tripod system. It looks good and functions perfectly.

great and solid tripod. I especially like the 3/8 screw on the underside for low angle shots. I had to build a rig to hold my fluid head for this low angle, but that was easy. great tripod

Excellent Tripod
Solid tripod for studio work. Reliable and great to shoot at elevated angles. It's not your tripod if you are looking for a portable or a small tripod to shoot at ground level.

Well built, great height!
I use the 028B as part of a multicamera setup. I mount a motorized pan & tilt head on it. I chose these legs for the height - 7.45 feet(8.27m)! It's the third one I've owned.

Amazing tripod for Video
LOVE this tripod for video. Pared it up with the Manfrotto 502 head and you can't beat it! Going to buy another one when I can. No shake when you pan from weight. Just solid!

if want want height, you got it.
I've used it a couple of times. It's pretty solid and the height is what i needed. You will need a three foot step latter if you are going to set it up to it's max. height.

Really REALLY solid tripod. This thing weighs quite a bit which is great because most of the gear that will go on it I would rather not have topple over. Highly recommend.

Good tripod for the price
We use this product in conjunction with a Dolly to good effect. It's stable and holds its configuration well. For the price, it's a great set it and forget it tripod.

Was expecting more from this brand
Its OK. I have heavier and lighter tripods and those are mechanically better than this. So its not the weight class that is the issue, its just isnt well made.
