Canon EOS 5D Mark IV DSLR Camera with 24-105mm f/4L II Lens
Glad I made the step up!
Coming from a crop factor 70D which I have enjoyed for several years. However when taking some nighttime shots in the beauty of Big Bend in Southern Texas, I realized that a full frame camera could give me even more bang for the buck as other photographers there were able to get better shots than I was able. This new Mark 4 is a marvel in sharpness and focus. With a 24-70mm 2.8 attached, I am amazed at the great color, focus speed and exposure accuracy. I am looking forward to the next big trip to really give it a tryout.

We now own three of them
If you're a wedding photographer, Canon's new AWB-White and anti-flicker shooting options make this upgrade a no brainer. Files are ready-for-client so much faster. Add in as-good-as-you-need dynamic range, 1-2 stops cleaner HighISO and sees-in-the-dark AF and ... what are you waiting for? Also, it weights less than the 5DmkIII. I'll miss the 5DmkIII more-handsome body design and the shutter sound, but that's nit-picking. Really, it's hard to imagine a better all-around wedding camera than the 5D4. We updated our fleet.

Excellent Camera
I have owned each of the 4 versions of the EOS 5D, and each one have been an excellent camera body. I still own all but the first model, and have never yet had a problem with either of the bodies. I haven't had the Mark IV very long, and haven't been able to use it much yet, but have the greatest confidence in an outstanding workmanship that will last for years to come. I am enjoying the touch screen very much, especially for the menus. It makes things much quicker to change a setting. I highly recommend this camera.

5D Mark IV
Makes a nice doorstop. I am waiting..........for Adobe to provide the camera RAW converter for this new model. Only then will I actually be able to see how it does. I will say that Lightroom sees duplicates of every shot I took. This is before Lightroom tells me it has no hope of recognizing these CR2 files. Perhaps Canon and Adobe COULD act like adults. Canon gives Adobe a new model camera before release....Adobe provides timely software update to the substantial community of Lightroom users. Did I miss anything ???

Great Camera
If you shoot 4k, don't get this camera. I don't care about 4k. 1080p at 60fps with hdr looks great. The high ISO's on this camera are fantastic. Touch screen and dual pixel autofocus are incredible. They even make STM lenses that are silent in video mode. looked at the new A99ii, but never liked sony autofocus. This cameras autofocus is the best i have used. Not a Canon fan boy. I have owned them all. This is the best all around camera you can get. Don't get me wrong, its not perfect. Could of used Cfast cards.

Worth the upgrade from the Mark III
I do real estate photography professionally. I upgraded from the 5D III. I wasn't too sure if the upgrade would be worth it, as I primarily shoot jpg. After using this camera for a couple of weeks now, it's a great upgrade. The expanded dynamic range makes such a huge difference in the quality of the images.. And the additional sharpening options in the styles makes everything wonderfully sharp without being gritty. The shutter is a lot more quiet, and I use the touch screen a lot more than I thought I would.

Still fantastic
Simply amazing camera, continuing the tradition of the 5D series being the de facto professional camera. HOWEVER if you have a functioning 5DM3 and just shoot still images, do not upgrade! I shot a series of images with the 5DM3 & 5DM4, and myself and my other professional photographer colleague could not tell the difference, both in using the camera and the final images, so you can bet your clients won't see a difference either. Only thing I found was a small improvement to high ISO, but not worth the money.

Great upgrade to 5D Mark III
I love the Mark III and didn't feel it needed fixing. That said, I immediately noticed the improved dynamic range, the increased flexibility of the autofocus, and the unexpected utility of the touch screen. The Mark IV is a better camera all around. The shutter is quieter too and I don't feel the need to use the slower, quiet shutter to shoot unobtrusively. The AWB-W is surprising effective and gets white balance more right, more often. Built-in WiFi means I can have cake, eat it, and not gain any weight. :)

Extremely Happy
I am not a professional photographer (although in the past I've done some commissioned work, including weddings). I've struggled with the limits of my prior Canon 50D (high grain with ISO of even 200-250), slow responsiveness, etc. The first shot made it clear how vast an improvement the 5D Mark IV is, even at high ISO (especially since I prefer natural and low light over flash). Faster and more accurate focus, improved light capture. I still have a lot to explore buy two weeks in and I couldn't be happier.

Upgrade as Expected
A large part of my work is shot in low light/high ISO settings, and so far the Mk IV has performed reasonably well. I have not experienced the higher resolution and less noise results that I was looking for, though I have a few upcoming jobs that will let me put the high ISO to work. I also found the new menu settings a bit harder to work with, though that is also part of the learning curve. As for now, the jury is still out on this upgrade. As I shoot more jobs I will weigh back in and revise my review.

An excellent camera
Love the camera! I use it for outdoor portrait photography so far. The one thing that I was not expecting was the need for a faster shutter speed when hand holding in order to not get motion blur. Also, at high ISO it is still really really grainy, and I had heard that it handled low light really good. I am not impressed. I am using old lenses (11 year old Sigmas) so upgrading those might make a difference. I LOVE the touchscreen and wifi options, and everything else about it! It is a fantastic camera!

I'm glad I bought it
I've considered switching over to SONY but after careful consideration, the EOS ecosystem is still hard to leave. Also, I can attest to the durability of these cameras. WiFi and GPS function is great, though I would like to see more options available with the wireless remote shooting app. Also, the touchscreen is a necessity and makes navigating menus far simpler than it used to be. In short, for my professional work, it's still king. My only gripe is that the 50 megapixel version isn't available yet.

Love everything about the 5d Mark iv Image quality is spot on and I am looking forward to taking my work to the next level! My only concern, and I hope to resolve this soon, is that my Lexar CF card would not load all images from the card to my computer. I am hoping it is user error and not something with software issues between Lexar and canon. I only bring this up because I have another friend with the Mark iv who is having the same issue. Suffice it to say I was thankful for the second card slot!

Good camera
This camera fits nicely into my lineup... I like it better than the 5D3 better video and slightly better image. I also use 5DS and 5DS-R and this camera is much better at low light / high ISO and it feels slightly smaller. The battery grip and the USB tether have changed and are not interchangeable with the previous models. I think it will make a great event camera but the 5DS will be my go to for studio. For portraits maybe this will be my choice. If I had to have just one camera this would be it.

Fantastic upgrade from the Canon 5d mark iii
I mainly shoot outdoor wildlife, especially birds. I have been shooting with the mark iii for 4 years and just recently upgraded to the mark iv. The difference is remarkable. I am extremely pleased with accuracy of the focus, the image quality, the increased pixel count, and improved metering in Av mode. The focus while shooting video, the increased frame rates, and again the image quality and pixel count is yielding huge improvements. I have no complaints, and am truly enjoying this camera body.

Good Value
I've always wanted a full frame camera. I finally decided to make the plunge. This particular package caught my eye. All of the extra items came in handy. The screen saver and extra battery were things that I had planned to purchase anyway. The camera is great. The touch screen is very fast and the focus system is so much better than my APS Canon 60D. The touch focus on the screen is great. I'm not a technical expert, all I can say is that the camera is everything I was hoping for and then some.

A great Choice!
I used the 7D Mark II with my Canon 800mm 5.6 canon lens and did not like the low light capabilities with the 7D. I lose my 1.7 crop factor but it increases depth of field in comparison. The 4k video is crop factored so that was easy to adjust too. The Video is amazing. Wifi works great when shooting video as well using my Iphone. Autofocus is perfect, all around great camera. The image posted was taken a few days ago - Screech Owl with the 800mm canon lens at ISO 1600 - 1/5th of a second at 5.6

simply amazing
I rented this body to try out and on the third day just went ahead and ordered my own. I was amazed at just how easily this camera focused and handled and everything! I am coming from 5DMIII. Touch screen is fabulous when you actually use it- so much faster to get to stuff you need and enlarge images on the spot, etc. handles low light beautifully! Th only things are : it drains batteries a LOT faster then the MIII and I am upgrading all of my cards from 16gb to 64 GB. so happy with my purchase!

I will buy this product now and now
This is my first professional level full-frame DSLR and I'm absolutely in love with it! The camera takes amazingly sharp, detailed images. It's controls and functions are intuitive and easy to navigate. The focus system is incredibly complex; I'm still trying to figure it out. But so far the images I have taken had accurate focus. I am using this camera with a 24-70 f/2.8 and it is performing wonderfully! The quality of image is a great set up, and the resources for better images are amazing.

This is what the 5D3 should have been!
I have owned every 5D since the original model and all of them have performed perfectly. But be aware that Canon users will sacrifice some level innovation for performance so don't expect some of the features found on Sony or Nikon here. However you will get rock solid auto focus, great high ISO images and exceptional color reproduction. So if you're like me and are already heavily invested in Canon glass and can't really afford to switch brands then you'll probably want to get this upgrade.

Great camera!!
I finally moved up to buying the IV and not the III based on the result that I didn't want to buy older tech anymore. I shoot a lot of product, architecture, and portraits. Not so much video, but I can't wait to try it out! The camera is a beast! Great detail and tones! And when I could configure the buttons to suit my preferences and needs, I absolutely fell in love with it. Now I can move around the camera, make changes on the fly, and not have to pause and figure things out!! Very happy!

Love my new workhorse
I upgraded to a 5DIV, because I have a wide variety of photography needs from real estate to portraits to landscapes to product. I plan to look at the new mirrorless by Canon in 2020 for a couple of those genres, but this Canon 5D Mark IV so meets my need today. I am handicapped and although the camera is heavy, I prefer that, because it helps me know I have something substantial in my hands. The ease of transition from a 6D to a 5D was swift. The new focus system is a game changer for me.

A great camera
I was looking a full frame camera to eliminate the need to carry the larger/heavier 1DX II I have and this camera filled the bill. Although the weight savings dissipates when you add the extra battery and grip you dont need that for most shooting operations. I like most of the new features that the 1DX II and 7D II lack and am still getting used to the differences and deciding which ones really benefit me as a photographer. All in all Im very happy and expect to get a lot of use out of it.
