Thick and sturdy
This tape is rather thick and coarse which I did not expect, but then again, I have zero experience with other linen tapes. This is probably overkill for my purposes, but I image it would be great for larger works 16x20 and over. I gave it 4 stars because it has this powdery stuff that was sprinkling all over the place. Again, this may be the case for all water-activated linen tapes, I don't know.

Great Mounting Tap
Very easy to apply and remove. I bought an old dispenser for water activated packing tape to use with this product which makes it very easy to apply. Just put the handle and a measured amount is dispensed and cut off. If you need to un-mount the photo simply wet the tape with a sponge until the adhesive softens. Then it can be removed without leaving any trace adhesive behind.

This Tape is Messy and Hard to Use
This tape requires you to add water in order for the tape to become sticky. It's hard to determine the correct ratio of water to tape and can be too wet or not enough easily. I stopped using this tape and purchased a tape with removable backing that is self adhesive.

Excellent Product
Been using this tape for over 15 years and it still holds and looks pristine white on the mounts from years ago. Only wish we could get rid of the water activation, but will put up with it for archival performance.
