sturdy & well built
Bought this for the bdr drive I bought, its easy to install, plug & screw only. Sadly its not compatible with the pioneer bdr 212, its short by 5mm why the drive length is 180mm. So instead I used my old liteon bdr which is only 170mm, now it fits with a minimal gap. Needs to be turn on before the starting the pc so that it can be recognize by windows 10. Quality product well built aluminum. Recommended buy instead those can be found on other site.

Works Great, As Advertised!
The enclosure fit my old Pioneer BDR-205 optical drive with no problems. I had the drive installed in less than 2 minutes with all the screws/hardware provided. It provides the right amount of power and the USB connectivity is great for turning an internal drive into an external drive. This is a great product if you're sitting on an optical drive that's still useful but you don' have a SATA connection available.

No drivers needed, plug and play, works perfectly!
I paired this enclosure with an LG WH16NS40 (NS50) and it works perfectly in Windows 10, didn't need to install any drivers. At first it looked like it would not fit correctly because the front frame needs to be bent a little bit to match the shape of the enclosure perfectly. After that, it looks beautiful and performs flawlessly. Highly recommended!!!

No computer case drive bay
All the newer computer cases seem to have no drive bays. Everyone wants to go digital. Well I recently rebuilt my computer with a no drive bay case and this is the perfect enclosure for your dvd blu ray drive to continue using your media disks, games, music, ect. Works perfect easy install. May have to order another.

Sturdy
I was concerned that my Plextor drive would not fit into the housing. I was totally wrong - it fit perfectly. The housing is very sturdy and the electronics very good. I recommend this product unhesitatingly.

A Solid, Speedy Choice
The solid metal construction, quality feet, and USB 3.1 Gen 1 connectivity mean this enclosure does everything I need with no downsides, so far. I have a LG WH16NS40 drive in mine, which fits with room to spare. Potential nitpicks are the front panel, which is thin and can bend easily if you're not careful when installing the drive.
