D800 owner's review the D850
Every positive things you read about D850 are all true, so I'm not going to repeat them. Here are some surprises I found about the D850 that I loved. You can have beyond 50 images buffer when set to iso 100. touch screen focus comes in very handle. Silent live view is sooo quiet that you do not know you taken the shoot need some mindset adjustment. 7 fps is amazing.

Best DSLR
I have been shooting with my d850...OMG...amazing results...for one week. Of course, still learning the new features and how to shoot with it. I have the d810 as well, but big brother is worth every penny...by the way--it's lots of pennies.

Fantastic Upgrade from the D800E
As a long time Nikon user going back to the film days, I can unequivocally say that the D850 is the best Nikon Ive ever used for wildlife and nature photography. Fantastic Camera
I have a D800, a D810 and now the D850. I'm beyond please with this next generation of technology and surprised by all the improvements and upgrades. In the D800 I wanted more frames per second and better ISO, which the D810 improved on - great camera, but I still wish I had more frames per second and better ISO. Worth the Wait
I waited several months for delivery and it was well worth it. As I get older Autofocus becomes more important. The 850 Autofocus and better quality photos at higher ISO's is better than I expected. And, when using XQd cards, the ability to capture wildlife is greatly enhanced. I love my 800 but really love my 850.

Great Camera with Lots of Goodies
Moved from a D4. Most pics are wildlife. Very impressive sharpness/detail improvement due to more pixels and no anti-alias filter. Makes dedicated sharpening computer apps not needed. Normal shutter is quieter than D4's; seems similar to Canon's shutter noise. Looking forward to D850's Silent Shutter when doing wildlife closeups. OK but
Good camera not as good in low light as the pro models. The AF fine tune doesn't work on any Nikon lens I have.

Autofocus dysfunctional
I tried multiple settings for autofocus and each has serious problems. Things that appear in focus through the view finder wind up wildly out of focus. Killer problem.

Best camera I ever owned.
Great all rounder. Autofocus is the best out there bar the D5. Moved up from D800/D3 and given that I do a lot of wildlife photography this is perfect for my needs. Canon needs to stop coasting and wake up...currently clearly outclassed by the Nikon D850.

The Best
B&H is the the best camera store in the world to purchase camera equipment. I ordered my Nikon D850, however, it was backordered because Nikon could not keep up with demand. B&H kept me informed of the backordered status on a regular basis, and when the camera finally arrived, it was send overnight in perfect condition. BTW, the Nikon D850 is everything its advertised to be.

A great performer!
Upgrade from an aging D600 and the improvements are numerous and significant. I have been using the D850 for three months and all the positive things mentioned about this camera in other reviews are true. The raw files are very easy to work with. 3D tracking mode missing
I got the D850 a few days ago and going through the AF modes this unit skips the 3D tracking mode, moving from the d153 mode to the GRP mode. Anybody has experienced this problem? I am in AF-C and tried both the back AF-ON button of the front and back buttons. Anybody has experienced this issue?

Not able to track / focus in BIF shot in fine wayt
It is a superb camera except for BIF shots. For BIF not able to track fine way and is very slow .Hope Nikon should come up with Firmware and tackle this issue.

A Great Camera!
I have been using the D810 for the last three years and loved that camera. I have had the D850 for only a couple of weeks and have had only a couple of big shoots with it. In some ways it's the same as the 810, because the controls are so similar that an 810 user can pick up the 850 and feel comfortable. Image perfection
I laid down my d750, which Ive enjoyed for 3+ years, for this d850 - what a transition. Paired with Nikon primes and f2.8 zooms, the d850 is an artistic wonder of color and contrast rendition, focusing speed, high capture rates and intuitive image capture. Ill enjoy learning and applying this cameras capabilities for many years.

ABCDE means the Nikon D850 is the Absolutely Best Darn Camera Ever ! And I have had a few to compare it to. As technology advances in every field, Nikon has found a way to put it in a real photography Black Box and called it the D850. You can find many articles and videos wherever you look to support this statement. Buy it, you'll like it. Caution: Not for beginners, it will make your head explode, unless you plan to grow into it. It's a lot of camera.

I like it a lot
This is a ridiculously impressive camera. I'm very happy with the performance and the layout is "Nikon" intuitive. The touchscreen feels like a mobile phone screen and is very responsive. Snapbridge is working for me so far and is probably one of my favorite features. I like being able to instantly view the 2MB version of the image on my iPhone and sharing photos. My D850
I have had this camera for only 10 days. I have D800E for many years. So far I have not seen any major differences between the two except for, the absence of built in flash. It is possible that the human eye is unable to differentiate beyond excellent image quality of D800 E. However the wallet could feel the difference. I am debating whether I should return D850, and get another D800 E as a backup camera when traveling.

So far, great
Have only had the camera for a week. A great leap of improvement from my old D800 in all respects. Even though it has a similar layout there are many new setting to learn.

Great at almost everything..
Like I said, this camera is just insane. The image files coming out of it are the best I have worked with by far. Just make sure you have a lens that can resolve all of that detail. I think this camera will keep the DSLR more than just "relevant" for a few years at least. Having said that, I have used the A7RIII and there is a lot to love with it as well. What it really has up it's sleeve is the higher burst rate, better autofocus and it is much easier to shoot video with. Overall though, I would not hesitate to buy the D850. It won't disappoint.
