stable and flawless
Used this to output a 3840x1200 DVD-D to two side/side projectors with edge blend. I adapted the output immediately to HDMI right off the outputs, then into HDMI/Ethernet Baluns till finally getting to the projectors. Despite all that, the quality and reliability seemed rock solid through all of it. Used MAC Mojave on a 2014 iMac with no problems. The only hiccups was that I found it helpful to have all the devices powered up first, then connec... Show More

Works well with Q-Lab
This unit worked well for me with Q-Lab multi-surface theatrical projection design. I needed DVI-D to HDMI adaptors and was up and running immediately. Solid gear.

FINALLY! A Dual Monitor solution for Mac Book that works!
I have tried a few different low prices adaptors, and have been disappointed with them all. The MATROX adaptor is EVERYTHING it says it is, and is well worth the investment. Finally I have full separate screens on my Mac Book Pro Air, and the laptop screen as a 3rd option. True plug n' play installation, but be sure to purchase the right cables and adaptors. This unit has SVDI out for Mon 1 and Mon 2. Got the adaptors to HDMO for $5 each, and they work great.

It works, but...
What this does is take two monitors and make them one wide one. It DOES provide greater screen real estate, but does NOT give you two independent monitors. The annoyances with this is that any time you hit (on a Mac) the green blow-up button, your current window expands across to the two screens! This is not helpful, and requires that you (always) manually expand each window or folder to the desired size. Also, all dialogue boxes and alerts pop u... Show More

wish I knew of the sooner!
With the plethora of fantastic CHEAP HD screens out there now, this device revives my aged MBP i7. Double screens are super responsive. I use an external usb for power (not off my MBP). Super-duper. NO cons... yet!

Most excellent graphics eXpansion module
The DualHead2Go is exactly the item I needed for this application. This is my third purchase of a Matrox graphics expansion product, and each time it has exceeded my expectations. The PowerDesk control app that comes bundled with the module is very helpful in quickly and easily addressing resolution and orientation needs.

Works Great....Now.
While I can highly recommend the Matrox DualHead2Go, the cables that came with the product were faulty. I had nothing but problems at first (intermittent, which is more frustrating than if it did not work at all), and called Matrox Tech Support. Leo at Matrox first thought it was the DVI to HDMI adapters I was using. Changed that to straight DVI cables; no joy. After calling Matrox again and working with Leo (who was very helpful), we determined ... Show More

Good Performance But Have To Repower It
Purchased this because our church is using Propresenter and had to split a HDMI between a HDMI projector and A CEREVO Video switcher. Product works beautifully except we have to disconnect the USB Power connector after starting up the Mac. After restarting the DualHead2Go everything works great. No problems what so ever. Previously we used a standard HDMI splitter and could not get consistent results and the DualHead2Go provides consistent results, even with the restarting the USB power. We used a number of HDMI splitter and by far this was the only one that provided consistent results.

Highly Recommended
I have a 2015 Macbook Air, and use the Matrox to spread the Mac's desktop across three monitors (the Mac, and two external 24 HP monitors). The connection was so simple: the Matrox includes the mini display port and usb cables, and I connected the Matrox to the HP monitors with 2 DVI cables. No configuration was necessary: as soon as I connected the Matrox to the Macbook Air it just worked. What a great product.

Almost everything I was hoping for..
I recently purchased the DualHead2Go Digital ME. I have it connected to 2 Dell monitors - a 22 and a 24. Generally, it works fine and the setup was easy. However, there are a couple shortcomings: 1) The manuals/documentation are not very good. Thankfully, it's pretty much plug-n-play - but the manuals need improvement. 2) You cannot spin one of the monitors 90 degrees and use one as a vertical monitor. This is because the Matrox box fools your co... Show More

Love this little box
Tried other solutions and was disappointed with using them in my Mac environment. This little box did the trick. I have my main Monitor running with 2 additional screens giving me a great overview of the projects working on. If you want something reliable that works out of the box with great quality - this is the right investment.

Works as advertised - perfect for me
Works perfectly for me. I use it in conjunction with a Belkin Thunderbolt 2 Express Dock to give me a docking solution for my MacBook Air that gets me access to an external keyboard and mouse, ethernet, sound and from the dock to this wee beastie via Thunderbolt and one USB for dual displays. Easy and quick to set up (I plugged it all in and it went). I've not tried it for video (apart from a few YouTube clips that worked fine), so can't confirm ... Show More

Works well, but can be temperamental
It is easy to wire up and install the configuration code. Had a little trouble selecting the correct resolution that works with both monitors. (Have two of the same model of monitor, but one has a earlier firmware level.) It is attached to a MacBook Pro. There is no issues when booting the system while it is attached. There are sometimes issues with sync rate on one of the monitors when attaching it after coming back from a meeting. Sometimes turning off and on the monitor helps. Other times, I have to reboot the MacBook.

Works like a Charm
I had no idea how to run 2 monitors to my Macbook Pro. The sales person named Akiva walked me through what I needed to accomplish this. He knew his stuff! This device works perfect and is doing exactly what I needed. You must download the software to insure the screens are set up properly. Can't really say anything negative about the product as it functions as it should. B&H just made a new customer for life. The place rocks!

Less than hoped for
Purchased to add a third monitor to a large venue projection environment to provide information to the stage. I was able to add a third monitor that mirrors a second monitor, but could not wrestle this thing into submission to create a third, separate monitor. It also causes the mouse to briefly hang, making it frustrating to operate projection software that is timing dependent. This is on a 2011 iMac with the latest OS.

Note: does not work well with all screen
Along with all the positive reviews, it's important to note that this produce does NOT work well with all screens. I tried the Matrox Dual Head for a pair of 24 mac cinma displays -- with two different macbook pro computers -- and it failed to work with both. I don't know why. Lots of time on forums and even with tech support at Matrox never solved the problems (for one older MBP the 2nd screen simply never worked at all; for the 2nd newer mac bo... Show More

DualHead2Go - Review - MAC user
Needed to add expand my Imac desktop using existing monitors. After a long search I found this box and it super. It's a bit different then adding a graphics card into a PC. It splits the monitor out across as many monitors that you connect. It will make whatever you plug in a standalone monitor and split the signal across whatever you plug in.
