I've replaced my old Epson scanner which I've had and used on a daily basis for the past 10 years and the V600 is great, much faster with new and improved technology cuts down on time and the quality is impressive.

Does the job
Have a ton of old black and white negatives that I wanted to scan, this scanner does the job. Took Sime trial and error to figure out the correct setting to get the best results. So far very happy with the scanner.

Easy to set up plus GREAT scans
Very easy to set up and use and I'm not a techie kinda guy. Simple, easy to follow set up instructions. My first scans were top notch; accurate color and great quality. I'm glad I bought it and would do so again.

Incredible Value
Can believe this scanner comes in at under 200.00. Its fast, scans beautifully, well built, easy to set up and the software is easy to use. I'm using it to scan old family pictures and I'm floored by the results.

Works Well
The scanner is easy to use and does a great job of scanning both prints and film. My only complaint (a minor one) is the lack of printed instructions. A disk is provided but a print document would have been nice.

Better than expected!
Bought mostly to copy old family slides. V600 software loaded up without any glitches in Windows 7, as did Photo Shop. Slide scan resolution is better than expected, so I would definitely recommend this scanner.

Great Scanner
Great scanner for a great price. Fast scans and easy to manage. Be aware that if you live somewhere in which you get a lot of dust I recommend buying the ilford antistaticum cloth, and a dust blower. A must buy.

Great Scanner
I use the scanner for 35mm film and for printed photos. It's easy to set up and operate. The film holder could be made of a little heavier material (that's why only 4 stars). Scans are crisp with accurate color.

third one I am buying
Unfortunately this is third one =Last one broke.. as did its predecessor bought in 2014-- the board... Any reasons why?? I hope to use this for slides and photoshop..Hope it can stitch photos.. i am an artist..

Works great for what I wanted!
I used this to scan old photos onto my computer and it works fast and great. There is no warm-up time which is awesome. Again, I only used this to scan old photos, so as far as that I would say it works great.

Best thing I bought this year.
With tones of slides and negative I will give this a workout. My initial scans have been super. I have tested flat art and slides, will be scanning old negatives next. I could not be happier with the results.

High Quality Scanner
Use it for everything from creating PDF files, copying directly to my printer, scanning photos in high resolution, ... Haven't yet had the opportunity to try the OCR capability but did download the software

Works fine
I've only used this a few times so far, to scan a few slides and also old black & white photographs. It seems to work as well as it is advertised and I would recommend it to anyone who needs a good scanner.

Great scanner
Scanned slides perfectly with all auto settings right out of the box. Film and photos were also excellent although a bit slow when high resolution and digital ice is employed but the results are very good!

Just what I've been looking for
I have a huge backlog of negatives and slides. I'm going to take this opportunity to cull my collection to the best and dispose of the rest. I'm looking forward to using the scanner to help me clean house.

Great Scanner
I use the scanner for both film negatives and for scanning actual photos, also a few slides which I haven't tried yet. The scanner is fast and easy to use. The software Photoshop Elements is a real bonus.

Excellent
I have a large amount of my dad's old slides. It is very difficult to remove the dust. The V600 with Digital Ice removes any left over dust. It does what it says, I'm really glad I purchaesd this scanner.

Great scanner
I am using this scanner to scan old family pictures and negatives and also to make high-bit scans that give me more tonal values to later restore in photoshop at a reasonable price. It is silent and fast.

Exceeds expectations
Using for scanning old negs and prints - great results, good speed, and easy to use. Scans film strips and separates the individual photos. Quality is excellent - BH had the best prices and fast delivery!

Great Machine for the Price!
I use this scanner for photos, 35mm film, and medium format film scanning. The scanner is easy to set up and use right away. I am very impressed with the scanned quality of prints and film for the price.

nice and fast
Very fast scanner, and does a good job with 35mm for a flat bed and medium definitely looks good. I'm a fan of Epson scanners and this is no exception. Build quality on the film masks is a bit chintzy.

scanning lots of old photos
This is doing a great job of scanning my old photos from Hawaii and Germany. These photos are about 50 years old. I bought this scanner to archive these and put them on dvds. The results are excellent.

Great for Price, Install Software Onlin
The disk that came with the scanner never loads the software information correctly. If you download the install from Epson online then everything is good. A frustrating start, but good for the price!

Great Buy!
Great scanner! I'm using it to scan 35mm and 120 negatives and b/w. Best scanner out there for this great price. Made 16x20 enlargements from 120 negative with great results. .... Recommended highly.
