Best 1440p gaming monitor on the market.
I upgraded to this from my 60Hz TV and immediately I noticed a massive improvement. Reaction times are faster and my K/D ratio greatly improved. I didnt get any ghosting when using this monitor. I had some backlight bleed on the right corners, top and bottom. Im not worried about it. The image quality is much nicer than 1080p. If youre wanting a great gaming monitor this is the one to get. Amazing monitor
the packaging was nice and very protective. this model has the beautiful IPS panel instead of the TN panel which makes it a bit more expensive but its worth it. I highly recommend anyone in the market for 1440p to go with this guy

Dead Pixel
Frankly, i read many reviews about the Quality Control. I Didnt think it would happen to me. Dead Pixel on my screen after paying $700. Only had it for a week. Now, i have to deal with the headache of repackaging, shipping, and perhaps out of pocket expense for returning the product (shipping cost). My Advice for if you plan to buy this: Make sure to use a solid background color when you hook this beast up. Solid Orange and Solid white reveal dead pixels.

Eye-Opening Difference
I have 2 pretty decent monitors and decided I wanted to get this bad boy to go with my Nvidia GTX 1080 Ti graphics card to see what it was capable of. With all of the features available on this monitor, my games run like butter. I have literally never had this level of smoothness in my gaming experiences. It's absolutely gorgeous and definitely worth the money you'll spend on it. The shipping was fast and it came in good working order. If you're considering getting a new monitor and you're looking at 4k, ditch 4k for everything this thing offers. You won't be disappointed.

Good Monitor but...
I like everything about the monitor except for one thing. Even though the back of the monitor is a VESA compliant mount, you cannot remove the monitor from the base and mount it anywhere else. Its hard wired to its base for the lighting effect. So no articulating arms, no rack full multiple monitors.

Beautiful
This monitor is awesome, colors are rich and vibrant. There is light bleed when booting up but I haven't had a black screen while doing anything so I honestly would never notice. Most things I do have vivid colors and such and I've never been distracted by light bleeding or anything. If you want the best for 2018 this is it.

ASUS ROG Swift PG279Q Gaming monitor
Great decision on my part to buy this Monitor. I upgraded from a 24" TN panel monitor to this 27" IPS M onitor with ( G Sync ) at 144Hz that can be overcooked to 165Hz. The 27" is perfect for me. Excellent Product, Excellent Service
After several months of wringing my hands concerning the historical initial production issues with the PG279Q I decided to place my order. B&H has in the past always performed well for me and they did not disappoint. The unit arrived at my doorstep promptly and I couldn't be more pleased with this unit. The unit has an absolutely gorgeous picture, fantastic refresh rate, and minimal backlight bleed (my main concern). The quality in the assembly, the stand, and the user interface are superb. Its fantastic
I absolutely love it so far. I read a lot of reviews on backbleed or something, but as far as I can tell its not noticeable. The picture is sharp and the colors are great. I originally got this monitor because my old monitor didn't have a good color display, and this one has that covered and more than anything I could have hoped for. My only problem with it is that the stand is really thick. I work on a small desk so I like to place my keyboard on the bottom of the stand to get it out of the way when I need to write something, I can't do that very well with this one. But this is a non-issue.

Perfect gaming monitor (for me).
Perfect for a high end gaming PC with nVidia GPU. No issues at 165 Hz. I am using a GTX 1080. I also have it paired with a Korean 2560x1440 IPS as a secondary monitor running at 82.5 Hz refresh rate. I haven't noticed any problems with g-sync using this setup. My monitor has no dead pixels, but does have some back-light bleed. Awesome Monitor
Purchased this monitor for a new pc build and I must say so far I am more than satisfied. The option to overclock the refresh rate up to 165hz makes a big difference in gaming especially at 1440p. Would definitely recommend.

Its great! Only complaint is because my other monitor isnt g-sync enabled and is 1080p windowes gets goofy whenever i turn them on and wake windows from sleep..like my windows get glitched out just a minor annoyance. As far as the product its amazing though! No real complaints!

I compared the rog swift PG279Q with the MG279Q for a while when I was at frys eletronics before I decided on buying the rog swift. Good gaming monitor
This monitor has been solid, it's great for gaming and high frame rates. Though I have not figured out how to run it at 165Hz as it is listed to be able to do. The instructions are poor, and you will need to search the internet for suggested configurations. Overall a very good monitor that I recommend to others.

Amazing, but beware of IPS glow
I bought this monitor significantly after the big QA fix at Asus where they recalled a slew of bad panels due to back light bleed. Therefore, mine is flawless. That said, there is still a large amount of glow, which is a very different effect that applies to every IPS panel out there. Make sure you understand this and are ok with it. Some of these reviews seem to be for the TN version and not the IPS version. I am planning to but thePG279Q but I noticed the reviews seem to be mixed between the two monitors. ROG Swift PG279Q - IPS panel - up to 165Hz refresh rate ROG Swift PG278Q - TN panel - up to 144Hz refresh rate I know this because some people seem to be referring to the 144Hz refresh rate, which tells me you are reviewing the PG279Q.

Best monitor on the market
I made my decision to get this monitor based on the review done here: https://elitegamingcomputers.com/best-gaming-monitors/ I was on the edge on whether or not I reallyneeded a 1440p/144Hz monitor, but I am so glad I got this thing. The picture is ridiculous, and gameplay is now smooth. I'm powering this with a GTX 1070 and I get good FPS in most games. Although, the only downside might be that if you wait a few months you might be able to get a 4K 144Hz monitor instead... but who knows what price that will come in at...

Good gaming monitor
I really like the color saturation and brightness of the monitor, but have to complain about the backlight bleed with this IPS monitor. Keep in mind that this is the nature of IPS monitors in general. I would like to see improvements with the technology so backlight bleed is not so pronounced.
