Flimsy

Quite flimsy...not very sturdy...hard to establish a position...camera is top heavy....doesn't stay in place

SIMPLE BUT USEFUL!

Simple but useful. A little wobbly but works when you get the legs properly spread out over its center of gravity.

Holds an EM10 with no flex

Sep 24, 2014

Had a $15 gift card and decided to get this and an extra memory card for my EM10. It holds very well and is pretty stable for such a small piece of equipment. I could see this most useful if you have a tripod attachment case/accessory on your phone if you want stable timelapses or maybe for group pictures and things of that nature. If you're in the market for a tiny tripod you can keep in your bag at all times like I do, this is definitely a good deal.Especially for free :D

Excellent!

Jul 23, 2012

For my Canon SX40. It is small, light, easily fits into case. Just used it yesterday at the intrepid museum. Set it w camera on floor, timed picture, tripod allowed me to angle to get us all in picture. Perfect as an ultra portable tripod for quick shots on table top or ground. Allows you to tilt up or down, holds position. What more do you want for like $ dollars? Just know that the clip at top is for sliding and securing to pocket. I didn't know that, flipped it up and down a few times, and voila! I broke clip! I don't need to clip it to my pants, so I don't care.

Good for the price

Jul 23, 2012

Simple design, good product, and cheap price for tabletop tripod. Intended to be used with small camera - probably not substantial enough for larger camera.

Perfect companion for point and shoot

Jul 17, 2012

Digital point-and-shoot cameras are great because they are compact, so you can carry them around and take those grab shots you otherwise might miss. The problem with most digital point and shoot cameras is that you have to view the scene through the LCD screen on the back of the camera. It is rather awkward to hold the camera between two sets of fingers and thumbs, and picture stability and clarity can suffer. However, if you simply keep this Tab... Show More

Have not found a better one yet.

Mar 20, 2012

I think I bought the first one of these 15 to 20 years ago. The pocket clip broke off 5 years ago. It is convenient, compact and lightweight and therefore it is available when you need it. The design has not been improved upon in all these years and while my old one was still usable at the price I thought it was time I replaced it with a new one.

Weird smelling, surprisingly sturdy

Feb 15, 2012

I use this for a point and shoot camera. It's good for sturdying your camera for posed shots and it's easy to carry because it's so compact. As at least one other reviewer has noted, it has an odd, strong smell, almost like a bunch of old coins. It's not an overpowering smell, but it's odd.

Inexpensive, does the trick

I got those to hold a flash in place and they perform well. Flexible legs allow me to place them in odd places.

I Love It!

Oct 5, 2011

I got this because for my birthday I got a phone case with a tripod attachment. SO I thought it would be fun to buy a mini tripod to have in my purse all the time. It works great. It is super versatile, lightweight and is just super cute.

Excellent for a small camera

May 13, 2011

I use this tripod with my flip video camera. It is everything you would expect from a small flexible legged tripod.

Solid and Cheap

Apr 12, 2011

For less than half the cost of the flip brand stand, you get just as good a stand without nonsense like colored tips. In fact, this one has a clip so you could keep it in your picked clipped to the top for easy reach. Something the flip brand one does (i think). Good product for surprisingly cheap.

Amazing value

Mar 28, 2011

These tiny tripods are truly useful and ridiculously cheap. It was the only camera support I brought for my Canon G9 during a three-week trip to Italy and it never let me down. I also use them for remote flashes. The bendy legs allow them to go just about anywhere.

Terrible smell!!!

Mar 9, 2011

The smell of this is so bad (like tar or something very bad!) that I cannot imagine ever really using it. It may be inexpensive, but the smell is definitely not worth it!

A good, cheap working tripod

Nov 15, 2010

A simple tripod to use for any camera. I use it to take pictures at night with long exposures, and I don't need more. Small enough to fit in many places.

very weak

Jun 17, 2010

I bought for use with an SLR but it is too weak, will give in to any equipment heavier than a portable camera.

Perfect for the Kodak Zi8!

Apr 24, 2010

This tripod is very sturdy, easily adjustable and best of all, can be used as a hand-grip for the Kodak Zi8 or similar flip cameras

handy tripod

Mar 25, 2010

handy, flexible, holds a small video camera with no problem. Funny but the rubber smelled anoyingly strong when I first removed it from the package. Ok after 2 weeks.Great for less than $

Not for dSLRs

Jan 30, 2009

I used this product with my D40 and my compact Casio Exilim EX-Z60. It is great for compact cameras that can't stand up themselves, but you will need something bigger for dSLRs though. But great little (cheap) product, that fits in your pocket.

Works

Nov 11, 2008

Sure it's dirt cheap, but don't underestimate it. It holds my Nikon D40 (DSLR) even with SB-600 flash attached! Shooting straight it's perfectly fine, point up or down and it makes a little more difficult to balance. The plastic ball tips are slippery, so horizontal surfaces only. Other than that, it's always good to have on it in my bag just in case since it is lightweight.

Very convinient to casual use.

May 8, 2008

Is excellent to take casual pictures (parties, family, in-door). very quickly to install and easy to carry. Is not for a precision picture. But with enough strong for support small size video camera (Panasonic S10 or similar)
