Sirui W-2004 Waterproof Aluminum Alloy Tripod

Awesome Tripod
Can't beat the price, the light weight, the included bag and foot spikes. All around nice. Sturdy and easy to use.

Great tripod
Okay, I have shopped for a carbon set of legs for years now and finally bit the bullet. Sure, they cost a bundle but I wa happy to find there are some nifty new features and technology since I bought my last new pod twenty five years ago. (disclaimer I have several used gitzo's bought later) It's sturdy, light, gets pretty tall for it's diminutive size folded in tiny bag. What can I say, loaded with features, comes with cute parts bag and wrenches... well thought out! Check back in ten years and I'll let you know how it went.

Excellent Value
This product is an excellent value for what it is. With that said, it is a light weight duty tripod, good quality and being waterproof is a bonus. The ability to convert it to a monopod is another value added benefit. I selected it to act as a lightweight second tripod to use in harsh shooting environments like water, sand and snow where I would not like to subject my higher end tripods to undue wear.

Tripod is better than expected
The Sirui W-2004, waterproof, aluminum alloy tripod is of better quality & functions than I expected it to be, I attached a Sirui K-IOX ball head onto this w-2004 tripod. Along with using a Nikon D300S camera & multiple Nikon lens. No creeping & adjustments are made quickly & easily. The tool kit & accessories that were included are also of good quality.

Nice tripod
I have had this tripod for a week now and am very pleased with my first impressions of it. It is a replacement for my 40+ year old Star D Pro I like having several angles on the legs and the locking rings are very positive. The picture is the first one with the new tripod

great tripod at a great price
Have only had this tripod for a couple of weeks and really love it. It is very sturdy though lightweight and is well made. The legs extend and lock/unlock easily. The center column is removable which allows for the tripod to be deployed close to the ground if needed. Without the center column extended the height is very comfortable for my use at 6' tall. Comes with a good carry bag. So far, I'm delighted with this purchase and highly recommend it, especially at the price.

Same quality at half the price of higher end carbon fibers!
Love it! It is sturdy, easy to use, easy to set up and tear down.It is my first carbon fiber, and I was unwilling to pay twice the price for higher end names. I'm glad I went with this one.

Great product!
Purchased this for my husband's birthday after our discussions about needing a new tripod...he had been looking at this one and I did not know it! He was happily surprised and loves it! Just want he wanted and needed!

Should have been my first tripod.
Exactly what I needed for my Nikon D750 with lenses as big as150-600. Light weight, stable, and waterproof. Excellent quality and very well engineered.

Nic
Using for outdoor hiking photography. Reasonable size/weight for load capacity and height. Worked well shooting on Ruby and Second beaches on Washington Olympic Peninsula- just put in shower to rinse off. The twist locks are secure, nice sized rubberized surface to grip. Tripod seems very solid. Am happy with this.

What a Tripod!
Most of my work is done when my gear is exposed to the elements, and I always wanted the Gitzo Ocean series tripods. However, when I reached into my pocket and didn't find a 6 stack of hundred dollar bills, I realized I couldn't afford one. As soon as I saw this I knew I had to have it. In the year that I have had it, I have used it countless times, such as in 1 foot of water in a fast moving river in Yellowstone (for long exposures) and it has p... Show More

Good value in a solid tripod
Excellent finish on carbon and aluminum parts. Leg angle adjustment mechanism is positive. Legs can swing 180 degrees for travel. Height is more than enough so I do not have to raise the center post for normal shooting.

Great tripod
This is by far the best tripod I have owned. While it is slightly heavier than I anticipated the excellent material, locking system on the legs and smooth turning leg knobs make it a high quality tripod. I have spent lots of money on cheap tripods and should have started with this one!

Amazing quality and value!
I own two other tripods and a monopod and was very disappointed to find that none of the would support my new lens. I researched high and low for a tripod and a monopod that would handle the weight and height requirements. The W-2004 did both while saving me hundreds of dollars! I love the quality and would rate it all at an A+!

Just what I was looking for
I'm a mid-level amateur who is trying to become much better. I already have a very light weight carbon tripod, but it was clearly unstable in windy conditions and not built for exposure to ocean front work. This Sirui tripod is waterproof, very sturdily built and priced right at a little less than half of the Gitso or RSS.

Great tripod with excellent features
I have only had this for a short while, but put it through its paces under some fairly harsh conditions, and the tripod passed with flying colors. Construction is excellent for the price, terrific adjustability, and so far the waterproof claim seems to be holding up. When I first received the unit I worried a little about how steady it would be as I'm used to larger legged aluminum tripods. I need not have worried. I may need a weighted bag on th... Show More

The perfect size for me.
In order to get a decent weight size and weight for travel I ordered the Sirui W-2204, and let me tell you, it's the perfect tripod for what I use it for. I usually place on it a 10 lbs lens with a 4 lbs Gimball head and it cradles it very nicely. The height is perfect for me (6 ft) and with the head on I have to shorten the legs a bit. I am a happy camper...

Initial Impressions
I have only had the tripod for two weeks and used it once to do some nature photography up to my knees in salt water at Bald Point State Park, Florida. First impressions: Feels much lighter to schlep around with a camera body attached than my aluminum Sirui tripod but there is only 1.3 pounds of difference. Very compact when folded and legs reversed. Not sure yet whether I like the locked angle of the legs for normal shooting which do not angle o... Show More

As good as, but less expensive than, gitzo!!
Looked and compared for weeks, got advice from amateur photography friends, ended up with the Sirui - great choice, although it's early, but construction is great, travel gear is great, looking forward to a long friendship!!!

Great Tripod
After a very long search to find a great tripod, I ended up with Sirui w 2204 , a heavy duty tripod but light weight . Combined with Sirui K 40X ball head and Sirui L plate it performed like a beast ! If you do not intend to use it in mud and water you may not need the waterproof version , Sirui N2204, and M3204x offer same amount of stability and features. I read few reviews and comparison to Gitzo and yes, it beat Gitzo for the value of money. ... Show More

Excellent Tripod
I am a coastal fine art photographer. I create much of my art standing on the beach,on surf's edge, or in the water. This tripod claims to embrace sand & surf while protecting legs & leg tubes from water, sand, dust, etc. So far it has done just that! I was impressed right from opening the package. Included accessories all fit in internal pocket of the case, and its all a breeze to carry everywhere due to lightweight. I use a Induro BHL-1 ball head on it. Thanks to B&H salespeople for their alweays great advice prior to purchase.
