Very Stable Support
This is a very stable support for your camera. I bought this one to replace an old Manfrotto, cheaper version that had served me well for many years. The adjustability of the legs and center column is excellent.

A quality head
I bought this head as a package with a Manfrotto tripod. It is very well suited for the tripod. I was impressed with the assistance from the B&H Photo sales staff concerning this selection. For my camera useage, this head has much to brag about and nothing to be sorry for. The retractable handles are a plus for easy storage. It is easy to use and has all of the flexability that you could ask for. The head motions are smooth and the lockdowns are ... Show More

Excellent choice
It was not the first choice I came in for, but after talking with the sales person, I realized I had initially selected the wrong ballhead ... it didn't pivot sideways for portrait shots! Thank ou B&H! I paired it with the Manfrotto 294 Carbon Fiber Monopod and it's a perfect combo.

Great tripod for long range shooting
Purchased the MT055XPRO3 tripod for a stable platform for my D300s with a Sigma 50-500mm lens. It does a very good job of keeping the shooting platform very steady. Coupled with the 498RC4 ball head I have never had a better combination for telephoto shooting. The tripod legs are east to adjust to any terain and lock tight quickly. The center pole adjusts quickly and smoothly also. I can't find anything wrong with the tripod except it is a little... Show More

I bought this with the easy release handle to go on my spotting scope and I have to tell ya this tripod is exactly what I have been needing!! I hunt and hike at 10 feet to 11 k and it's extremely windy up top and this tripod is durable and strong and helps with focusing on and animal a mile or so away thru my scope! They are light in weight which helps packing and I would recommend this tripod to fellow hunters!!! Thanks B and H!

Great so far
Seems well built, easy to use and solid. Easy to set up and breakdown, and holds my Canon 5D mkII with 70/200 lens. Very pleased, other reviews I read were spot on. Its a little heavy, but I don't travel much.

Great prosumer tripod
One of the best tripods you can get for the price. It has the 8mm attachment for film tripod heads. Very sturdy, great product!

MT190XPRO3 great for the price
I was in the market so I grabbed this tripod which is the previous model in this class at $ vs the $ for the current model, plus it had a $ rebate. So I gained $ which almost covered the cost of the ball head I bought to go with it.

So Solid
When I received my Manfrotto MT190XPRO4 tripod the first think I noticed was its sturdy construction. This tripod is well engineered and so easy to set up, it is not the lightest but it is very compact enough to stick into your backpack so you can carry it in your luggage to take on your flight.

Great product and good service from B&H.
I use the ball head with a DSLR with a heavy lens and the friction adjustment is very handy. I also use it with a Sony FS700 and a Manfrotto 701 video head on location, and the ball head is light, easy to level the video head and strong enough to support the entire rig.

Excellent all around tripod
This is a well built and well designed tripod. Very easy to use and sturdy. I like the flip locks on the leg extensions and the transverse center column is a snap to use.

Excellent tripod head
This tripod head is very well made. It seems that the components are very precisely machined because the axes move smoothly without any looseness. The front to back tilt handle never gets in the way either in the extended or retracted position. Having three levels is very good as you can level each axes individually.

Not as Stable as I had Hoped
I debated about getting the PRO3 version of this tripod (which has 3-segment legs) but opted to buy this one instead, because with each leg broken into 4 segments, the tripod collapses down to a smaller size for ease of storage, carrying, etc... But this IS still a full-sized tripod, and there is no way to make it fold down to pocket-size. It's going to be big and clunky and a pain to lug around, no matter whether it has 3-segment or 4-segment le... Show More

Good solid tripod at good price
Finally had to admit my wobbly cheap tripod wasn't up to any serious telephoto or low light photography. Got this nice basic tripod. Very solid. Use it with Manfrotto geared head. I use it with Nikon SLR and spotter scope. Good value. I'd recommend it for enthusiasts that have to live within a reasonable budget.

My favorite tripod
I have several Manfrotto tripods, but wanted one that was a little light. I do a lot of outdoor portraits and carry a lot of equipment with me, so when I can reduce the weight a little ill do it. I would love to have a composite tripod but it doesn't fit into my budget at this time. This Manfrotto MT190XPRO3 fits the bill for me....love it!!!!

Good little set of sticks
After much research and trials I settled on Manfrotto sticks. I was spoiled all these years by Gitzo sticks which would set up anywhere without a spreader from a few inches off the ground to close to six feet high with me on tiptoes. I wanted the same versatility without the tremendous weight and Manfrotto sticks were designed to deliver. The same independent leg angle clicks for crazy and challenging terrain, no need for a spreader, gets down lo... Show More
