Saves us so much time!
My boss and I both love this grip. We do food photography and use to move the tripod up and down and would lose the angle or it wouldn't stay put! This is a great time saver and now we can just worry about the food not melting!

This thing is perfect.
Used in conjunction w/ a Bogen 190XB Aluminum Tripod. This head is absolutely amazing. Adjustable in just about every aspect, very comfortable to use. Instills confidence in taking good pics. The only complaint i have is its a little hard to move around at first. After a few weeks of use though, the head no longer gets stuck and it is awesome.

Pretty good.
I used to have the previous design that was straight up from the tripod. They seemed to wear out fast and the clamp would no longer hold the camera in place, it would slip. I thought this would be less likely to have that issue due to the different leverage point of the camera weight. Too early to tell on that, but there are a few minor complaints I have: 1. Range of motion is limited on the side that the grip is on, so I end up having to lower a... Show More

Great, just what I needed and fantastic
Very happy with the purchase, action is easy and fast, beats a three handed head anytime.

Great ballhead
This is my first ballhead and I'm really enjoying the control and flexability. It does seem a bit heavy though, so I might see if I can find a ligther one for hiking.

Good (but sticky)
For the most part it is smooth and solid. However, the axial motion (when you rotate your wrist) is a little sticky. It's not too bad for me. But if you are a perfectionist, it might bother you. I have found all the adjustments on this ball head, and none of them alleviate the stickiness.

Great with the 055XPROB Tripod
I got this in conjuction with the Bogen/Manfrotto 055XPROB Tripod. Between the horizontal center column and the splay legs of tripod with this head I can get my camera on a horizonal position just inches above the groud. It's a versatile head in the first place and great for this kind of down to the ground photography.

I would buy the same product next time.
The ball head is just what I needed, Low profile EZ set up and it holds my camera and big lens in place.

Try it you will LOVE it
This ball head is AWESOME. There are so many positive things to say about this product, but the only way to describe it is you just have to try it. Try it and you will love it. It is so easy to use, so precise. You can use either vertical or horizontal. I don't know why you would use a different ball head than this one.

I love this new style!
I just got back from a wilderness trip in Canada. Loved this new head! Set up was a snap and the adjustments were quick and easy. It was a bit heavier than expected. On some of those longer hikes, the weight adds up!

I use it in a verical alignment and wow
I really like the tis grip ball head. It is very fast and has its own level bubble. It takes some getting use to if you never have owned one, but it won't take you long. No cons from me.

Very Nice!
I used to have the verticle version but found that it did not hold my new D300 very well. Since I received this ball Head it has been great. It even holds my heavy D300 and motor drive. Very easy to position and use horizntal or verticle.

Would recommend to friends
I bought this product along with 055X Tripod and a couple of ND filters. Fantastic set up for taking photos of waterfalls. Fully recommend this product to anyone looking for a serious tripod for their DSLR.

Great Combination
I am an amateur photographer. This product covers both a ball head as well as a pan head usage. It is heavy but easy to use and solid in every position which it has been placed to hold my Canon XTi with 300mm lens. Very stable.

Beware, Limitation in Ballhead Movement
Used with a Canon 40D, Canon 100-400mm or Canon 30D and Sigma 50-500mm lens for bird, wildlife and scenic landscpe photography. Pros: Very well built. Easy to use see grip release pressure Con. Holds firmly in all positions that are available. No creep, set it and forget it. This is a very positive feature. Easily adjustable locking friction. Works great on relatively flat surfaces. Having multiple quick release plates allows using multiple camer... Show More

WOW. i am in love.
this is a great ball head. you can do all your adjusting with one hand, it converts easily for left or right hand or even vertical. no knobs to tighten or loosen, just pull the grip. dont even have to take your eye off the view finder. i am right handed, but i switched the ball head to left hand operation, since my right hand is adjusting the camera settings. this thing is great for macro, portraits, kids, or action. moves quick with the pull of ... Very usable
Since I had never used anything like this before it took a short while to get used to it but I am glad I did,. Very functional and sturdy. I am a happy camper.

Good sturdy tripod for the money
Decent weight. Handles my 40D with 28-70L lens with no problem. Only issue is the camera tends to creep on the mount in portrait configuration.

Awesome!
This is the best tripod head I have ever used. Hands down. It's fast and effortless. If I had to give it a con, I'd say, if you're right handed and you want to tilt your camera to the right, it doesn't go very far. But this can easily be fixed by re-positioning the camera on the quick release plate.

Great Grip
This grip does everything as advertised. I have found no slippage at all with it, even when holding about 8 pounds of gear. It revolves smoothly and locks quickly.

This is my second 322RC2
This is the second grip action ballhead I have bought. Now I have one on my monopod and one on my tripod. I am very happy with the way I can just turn it to the position I want and let go. Highly recommend this!

Do this first!
I use this in conjunction with a Custom Bracket for off camera flash and at first the grip was very weak and kept slipping from the weight of the camera, lens, bracket and flash. BUT, if you tighten the little hex screw (not the dial) a couple of rotations at the base of the handle, it works like a charm. Use the dial for fine tuning.

Precision - easy and fast
The grip and bubble give me precision, which can be hard to achieve with other ball heads. Better yet, you can adjust it very quickly. To me, it seems easier and faster than pan/tilt heads, but thats a personal preference. It comes adjusted for right hand users, but the enclosed instructions explain how to flip it for left hand users, and its simple. Also, its very easy to attach to the tripod legs and to the camera. With the easy release mechani... Show More

Very Satisfied
I had been using a 3 way head with handles, but needed a sturdier head. Ball head seemed the way to go and after reading about this grip-style head I thought it would be easier to use than fiddling with the small knob on a standard ball head. It is and the grip handle gives great leverage. Right hand on the grip, left hand on the lense, and I can point this rig wherever I want. It stays put the first time. Satisfied with the gripping power on a 100-400L Zoom (or any wide angle) and 40D with flash attached. Not too heavy to carry in combo with tripod for long hikes.
