Great for Travel!
I travel for work so travelling light is important. I use a 12 PC Tablet with USB-C connections and this monitor gives me a much larger display and is lighter than my tablet PC! The screen is nice and bright and very clear. You have to download the ASUS DisplayWidget software to really see how great this monitor can be. I was favorably impressed with this monitor. When you connect it via the native USB C/Display Port connection, it performs like any other Display Port monitor. Nice refresh rate, clean image. When you connect it via the older USB type A adapter, performance drops a bit, but still quite satisfactory for business use. Received today. Set up, including installing the Display Link driver, took 5 minutes. My first thoughts: gorgeous screen, bright enough for my (mostly business) use and sharp as 1920x1080 can be. Thin and light. Will not add much bulk to my briefcase. Cover appears well made and fits snugly. Won't budge in my briefcase. Im a traveling consulting engineer. I need a fast laptop (Macbook pro 15 2018 retina) and plenty of screen space to display multiple desktops simultaneously. This is perfect. I had big hopes of using this as a 2nd portable monitor for my MacBook Pro 2012, as it has a dedicated video card. My MacBook Pro easily runs 2 large LCD monitors, but the Asus either overpowered the MacBook or something. Awesome! Better than advertised...
Ok, I was skeptical at first. I have a MBP 2017 and needed a second monitor when I use Logic Pro and Final Cut Pro.The seoncd screen can display plug-ins and the mixer, etc. I have two small studios but didn't want to drop 1,600 for two monitors or buy one and haul between two locations. Great monitor!
I was a bit skeptical but my job takes me to remote sites and dragging a regular monitor around just isn't an option. This is a nicely built piece of hardware. It easily fits in my computer bag. With the cover on it's about 1/2" thick and slightly smaller (height and width) than my 15" laptop. I don't have USB C on my laptop but using the adapter it plugged and played with Windows 10. When you figure out how to use the folds in the magnetic cover it sets up in less than 10 seconds. I am extremely happy with this purchase.

Perfect Laptop Companion
Excellent design and build quality. Powered from laptop means 1 cable and no charging brick. Well worth the price. I need more than one screen when I work. I've used an iPad as a second screen. It works but this screen is better with a lot more screen real estate. Case folds and is magnetic. Well conceived and sits at a good angle. I haven't been using the pen for stand just the case. Since getting it in summer I've been able to work outside on terrace instead of in the office. I will certainly also travel with it.

Live changing, if a monitor can really be that
Holy cow, can we say life changing? I have to be on-the-go a lot more than I prefer, and having this monitor with me is a huge game changer. On my 2017 MB Pro, this thing just works! The driver was quick and easy to install, and Bam! I have 1080p monitor that fits right in my laptop bag. And, it runs straight off my USB-C port with no extra power supply needed. I also tried it on my older 2014 MB Pro, and it also works beautifully on that too. If you are a road warrior, this thing is indispensable.

Inexpensive and Lightweight but color and contrast are bad.
Pros: t's inexpensive, light weight, set up is simple after installing the driver on host computer, and nice cover included. Cons: The color is inaccurate and not the right settings to calibrate so you won't be using this to edit, but as a second monitor for non-color critical stuff it works. It will drain the battery on a laptop quickly. It's a bit of a toss up between this, and using a large iPad as a second display on a Mac.

A very good choice for sure!
I have no issues with it at all. I connected it to my 4k laptop and even with the resolution difference, windows works without issues. The only bad thing is that its USB connector is placed in a way that does not allow me to really align it very tightly with my laptop screen, unless I place it on the left side. Also, if this would have been wireless with about of 8 hours of operation (I know, I want a lot) would be phenomenal!

Use this with Thunderbolt 3
I first tried using this screen with my old MacBook Pro 2012 with a USB C to USB 3 cable. It didnt work-simple video stuttered and the screen stayed dark so I put it in the closet for a few months. Then I got a MacBook Pro 2018 with USB C/Thunderbolt 3 I went on the road and decided to grab this monitor and try it again for editing (premiere pro). It works beautifully. Stunning even. Wont travel for work without it again!

Exceeds Expectations
I needed additional real estate, while mobile, to monitor the many windows I'm required to keep open. As we all know, tucking a full monitor under your arm and toting additional cables isn't ideal. This little unit is exactly what I was shopping for. It performs well and is pretty much grab and go! I've been spreading the word to my friends who have a similar need. In short, it's a cool and functional tech gadget!

Dont Let A Fancy Case Fool You
The monitor originallyworked fine until I found a crack underneath the glass screen. Its portability becomes irrelevant if the monitor is in an ASUS case and cant withstand a backpack. Please note this backpack only had a laptop which is also protected by a case. Please buy a portable monitor that is not LCD and can withstand actually moving around.

Wonderfully portable
Wonderfully portable. I just took it on a business trip and it easily fit in my laptop backpack (along with 2 laptops). Easy on the eyes. I've used it as a second monitor for coding and as part of my photographic workflow with box. For certain applications I like the definition on this monitor better than my Retina displays. It is a nice new tool.

This is cool!
I picked this up to use when out and about and needing to showcase some work, or to have some additional screen real estate when working remotely. The colors could definitely be better - I wouldnt edit photos on it! - but overall its a nice screen. I especially like that it connects so easily with just a USB C cable and nothing else needed.

Great Screen!!
Great screen! Able to use native USB-C output on my laptop, as well as utilize USB-A DisplayLink for other systems. Ultra portable. Display quality is INSANE. The only downside is the folding cover for it is a bit of a pain to use and a little hard to figure out despite essentially being a folding magnet.

Works as Advertized
This handy USB powered monitor works as advertised and is a great addition to my laptop bag. Works fine with myApple13.3" MacBook Prorunning Windows 10. This monitor is not as bright as the MacBook but it is more than sufficient. It comes with a Magnetic cover that works well in several configurations.

Amazing portable
This portable monitor has been designed very well. It is sleek, bright and light enough to add to my backpack. The magnetic cover has multiple angles in landscape mode and I like having the option to set it to portrait. It is truly my favorite gadget at the moment.

Not standalone for Macmini '18
This Item will NOT work as a STANDALONE monitor for 2018 MacMini. ASUS tech-support doesn't know if it is compatible same story with Apple support. This item does however work properly as a SECONDARY display and looks great.
