Sirui locking system rocks
The quick release side-bolt and locking peg are main reasons why I use Sirui heads, platforms & plates. Have VH-90s on both monopods and a Jobu gimbal head. Sirui has a similar quick-release locking pins on its ball head platforms. But a pity Sirui don't as yet have a RRS style quick release lever on their ball heads. The wider VH-125 plate on a telephoto foot also helps hand holding a heavy lens.

Best Manfrotto compatible QR available
This is a beautifully made and very solid Manfrotto PL501 compatible QR platform, light years ahead of the Manfrotto 577. Unlike the QR plate that comes with Sirui VH-10 and VH-15 video heads, the plate has the necessary tabs underneath to engage the safety stop in any PL501 compatible equipment.
