Best lightweight sturdy travel tripod for mirrorless
I compared this and Gitzo GT1545T a lot. Also previously I had a Gitzo GT1542T. What pushed me to the RRS TFC-14 was: 1) feels better made compared to the Gitzo traveler I had before 2) same weight as Gitzo GT1545T without the center post - so all the weight you carry is toward making the tripod sturdy and none wasted on the center post 3) when I had the Gitzo traveler while walking around I would put it on my backpackcollapsed but not reverse fo... Yes, I am amazed at the Quality of this Really Right Stuff Series 1 CF MK2 tripod. Compared to another leading high quality tripod maker, this RRS SER 1 tripod provides a much larger lower leg than the opponents series 1 tripod with 4 leg sections. The 3 section leg set up on this RRS series 1 tripod amazed me with the load capacity and stability in a small tripod. Don't forget to use a little blue Lock Tight on the feet threads. RRS Tripod is A Piece of Gem
The RRS TFC-14 tripod I recently bought is the best I ever have. It has every piece of quality Ive dreamed of since I was passionate about photography for over 9 years. Outstanding Travel Tripod
As usual this is an extremely solid tripod. The tripod is well made and very durable. The legs splay out to almost flat on the ground and click into place. The legs extend with a quick twist. It always amazes me how light RRS tripods are and how sturdy it is at the same time. This is a truly outstanding travel tripod.

Sturdy, well made and light
Purchased this smaller tripod for when I travel. Perfect hight for me (5, 11), it is well made, can fit in my duffle bag and much lighter than my larger RRS tripod. And this newer version is supposed to be easier to maintain. What else could you ask for.

Small, Light and Very Stable
I was looking for a tripod to compliment my full sized tripod when I travel. The TFC-14 is compact and stable. The tripod fits into a standard suitcase so one can always bring a tripod on long flights.
