High speed, reliable storage

We have this unit hooked up iSCSI to 3 virtual hosts. The VM that uses the array is a file server and does raw device mapping. Our hosts only have 2 iSCSI NICs each and write speed tests are bottle-necked to that 2Gb speed, this is to a RAID 5 across 5 spindles (3TB SAS each). Web GUI is very simple to use and quick to respond, setting up the iSCSI configuration took mere minutes. We ended up using the iSCSI instead of the Fiber connections, so I cannot comment on the Fiber setup or functionality. In the future I will probably buy the iSCSI only version, but for this unit we wanted the ability to do both. The device comes configured with a static IP address rather than DHCP, so be careful when plugging the unit into your network that you don't cause a conflict.Show Less
