Bought to use as a back-up RAID array for a late-2015 iMac with T2. Using a T3-T2 converter, works perfectly, easily configurable. Once the Mac is upgraded to a machine with T3, I am sure it will have even better performance.

Second to NONE
This piece of hardware is second to none. After an initial setup time and diagnostics runs, this device is delivering write and reading speeds in the 900 mb/s on a 6 bay chassis. All extensive video formats are running flawlessly and the Mac environment feels secure. Great management software and loads of support from manufacturer.

Solid and Reliable Storage
I had been using a pegasus r4 for the last 4 years and never had an issue so I and just picked up this r6 and works great. The only noticeable thing about it compared to my r4 is that it is a bit louder than my r4. It's also bigger so kind of makes sense. Really solid and really well built. It's metal and not plastic like other brands.

Two Problems When Used with an iMac Pro
I purchased this Pegasus3 system in December 2017 when I purchased my iMac Pro. I have two problems with the Pegasus3. When you install the latest Mac driver on the Pegasus website, it installs a file named Pegasus2R2ICON.kext which causes immediate ejection of all USB hard drives attached to the iMac Pro. Most Excellent!
Got this for my new MacBook Pro to store music and video files. This was very easy to set up. Like the blue lights. Connects every time I power up the Pro. Lots of storage space. Nice setup utility. I chose to do the default config.

Fast and Good

Works as advertised
I upgraded a 2012 27 iMac and a 2012 18TB Pegasus drive to a 2017 27 iMac and this Pegasus3 24TB drive. It's a ll i could ask for after 3 weeks. It's fast quiet and, so far, reliable. How fast? Transferring a 5.23GB file from the 2012 Pegasus RAID to the 2012 iMac's hard drive took 3min 56sec. On the 2017 iMac with the 2017 Pegasus3 the exact same file took 33.98 seconds. If your a photographer dealing with folders that contain 40MB images or 100MB or greater photoshop files such speed is most welcome.
