Size Small / Stability Enomouse

Mar 30, 2016

My first use of this little table top tripod was to copy some of my old 35mm slides. I had been using a light box and a steady standard size tripod set on the floor. Now using a 1:1 macro lens, I have both the light box and the Oben TT-100 tripod on the table and everything stays stable. This was simple and the results were great. I am now looking forward to taking it out for some low angle landscape photos. It is small enough to tuck into my coat pocket.

Surprisingly good!

Mar 6, 2014

Works on my point and shoot and my SLR...even with my 70-200 lens. Very sturdy. Ball is actually more precise than the ball head on my full size tripod...it doesn't settle once tightened. Delivered razor sharp pics. The bonus is I can use it tabletop or close to the ground, which saves me from having to invert the center post on my full size. Gives me a nice travel options, too, when I cannot lug my full size with me. Love it. Great purchase.

Great pocket tripod for DSLR or Pinhole camera.

Dec 16, 2016

I really wanted a strong tripod for my 6x12 Pinhole. My heavy camera doesn't budge as I open the shutter and being pocketable, I can carry it anywhere in my bag or even a jacket pocket without much additional weight. The feet seem sturdy and griped to an angled placard without slipping. the fact that the ballhead can go 90 deg is a plus if you want portrait format. A definite buy in my opinion. I am sure it can handle my DSLR if I ever need.

Well built and very stable

Feb 6, 2014

I was looking for a pocket/table tripod for my Canon 6D with the 24-105 lens. I was hoping to find a small tripod which can hold the camera and this one can do it. It is really stable, firm and even with the lens at 105mm (lined with one of the arms of the tripod) I get a very stable setup. For those who don't want to miss a photo when a tripod is necessary, this is highly recommended...and you can easily carry it in your pocket or bag.

Pretty good table top tripod

Apr 13, 2016

Giving it 5 stars for now, although I have only used it during 3 days of actual shooting. I wanted to buy a table top tripod that would fit in my pocket, but would hold a Sony A7 with 24-240 lens on. This is definitely sturdy enough as long as you put the lens over one of the feet. I especially like the mini ballhead that comes on it. When released it allows the ballhead to move and the head to turn. I think it will work out well.

Great low-to-the ground tripod

Aug 14, 2012

I use it mostly for near-the-ground subjects outside, though I also use it on a table. I carry it around in my bag and it is sturdy. It's perfect for me, since I need something lightweight and very low to the ground (it is very low to the ground). At times it can be difficult to balance if the ground is uneven, especially if the camera is vertical. It also can slip out of position if the controls are not screwed down very tightly.

TT-100 Table Top Tripod by Oben

Oct 18, 2015

I bought this to go along with my new Nikon 1 J5. And I needed a better table top tripod anyway. This tripod works very well with this camera. The ball head works smoothly and stays in the position you put it. The build quality is great. My only thought on improving this tripod would be if the ball head had a panoramic adjustment.Picking up the whole unit to adjust rotation is a draw pack. But nothing major.

Oben TT-100 Table top Tripod

Mar 6, 2018

For the price it is a great light weight but sturdy table top, or rock top tripod, if you are hiking. All the parts that matter for strength and stability are made of metal, not cheap plastic. This is the best mini table top tripod I have owed so far. Works good for my Canon Rebel 7i with a 28 to 70mm zoom lens, and supports it well. I have not used it yet with the 70 to 300mm telephoto lens on it yet.

Study Compact Tripod

Jun 16, 2011

I needed a small tripod with enough strength to hold a DSLR with L series glass. Coupling this tripod to the Induro BHD0 ball head gives enough lift to raise the camera off the ground or table for fine adjustment while providing enough strength to hold the camera in place while snapping pics. This combination is a great small travel tripod when I don't have enough room for my Benro Travel Angel.

Table top tripod by Oben

Dec 18, 2013

I have enjoyed using my Oben carbon fibre tripod with lateral arm for a number of months but thought it might be useful to have a table top tripod for macro work done inside over the winter. So far, the tripod meets my needs. I guess it would have made sense to purchase the next model up that allows a certain amount of adjustment but this should be fine for my needs. Arrived as promised.

Not for heavy spotting scopes

Aug 5, 2013

The Oben TT-100 is well made and easy to use. It should fit the bill just fine for smaller/lighter cameras and scopes but it's not designed for heavier spotting scopes. The heavy scope I use it for does mount and work, but is jittery. This is not due to the tripod, just that I'm using it on something it wasn't designed for. So the TT-100 gets 5 stars in my book, but I'm using it wrong.

A must have

Jun 12, 2012

Not only is this tripod heavy (in a good way) and sturdy, it's wonderfully diverse. The head unscrews, and can be used on just about any other tri or mono-pod. Either due to laziness or amazing foresight, the company used a bushing to attach the head to the legs. This saves you from buying one when Frankensteining support. It's cheap enough, and due to it's possible uses, a must have.

Perfect for my needs!

Mar 12, 2019

I bought this to hold the RemovuK1 and this is just about as perfect a tripod for it as possible. Im able to use the camera handheld while still attached to the the TT-100 and then just sit it down when I need to. Perfect. Well built, can still charge the battery while its mounted. Im not using the small ball-head that comes with it but it looks great for a small P&S camera.

Compact, But a Little Tipsy

Apr 3, 2013

I like the small size and the tripod is easy to set up. I used it with a very small projector (less than 6 oz. and about the same dimensions as my cell phone). I wanted height so the leg span was not that big. I found that the set up was a little unstable. I switched to my full size tripod. I'll try it again when I don't have an audience watching and waiting.

Easy to Use and Does the Job

Mar 21, 2012

I like to carry around a small tripod to capture night scenes and other situations where it is good to have a stable camera but I don't want to lug around something big. The TT-100 is lightweight, small, and easy to use. It doesn't replace a full-size tripod, but that isn't the point. Much better than the one I previously owned, which had telescoping legs.

Does the job I bought it for. I'm Happy.

Sep 12, 2012

Use for table top photography of minute items, or fine details. Easy to use. The legs have no locking positions therefore it's only usable height is 4.2 inches which sometimes is a problem. To overcome this I set the TT-100 inside a 8.0 inch plastic lid to retain the legs. This gives me a 6.0 inch height which is still usable with my camera.

Best Table Top Tripod

Sep 19, 2018

I recently purchased a Sigma 14mm f/1.8 DG HSM Art Lens for my Sony A7RII (https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1393489-REG/sigma_14mm_f_1_8_dg_hsm.html). This is a nearly 1,200 gram, or 2.6 lb, behemoth with an enormous front element that makes it front loaded. This little Oben TT-100 holds it without a problem. I highly recommend it.

Good for what is really is.

Oct 2, 2014

It is a fine tripod. The screw attachment is kind of weird and its rubber surface clashes with my camera body grip. Basically, when rubber/rubber contact each other and you still need to twist one surface has to give up. A cork pad, rather than rubber would have been much more useful. Made in China, just an FYI. Okay price.

Very Good, Even With A 5 lb. Camera & Lens

Mar 13, 2018

I was concerned that the ball head wouldn't support my D850 and the heavy Nikkor 14-24mm lens . . . but it seems to be able to bare the weight without moving from its locked position. The tripod itself has no issue holding the weight. Worth noting that tripod is not so rigid that even a slight wind "might" have some effect.

Great little table-topper. No matter how full your camera bag may be, there's always room to slide the collapsable TT-100 into a corner. Well-made & sturdy with adjustable, locking ball head. Great for those quick HDR shots & time exposures you'd miss or just skip if you had to set up your full-sized tripod.

Getting down close

Apr 24, 2016

Bought this to get close for macro shots. The reviews/specs said it could hold up to 6 pds and also a medium SLR. I have a Rebel T6s and used it with a Canon 17-55. The ball head won't stay tight. My Macro 100 m is even longer, although never camera or lens weighs 6 pds together. I guess I will keep looking.

Great advice from salesman

Dec 11, 2012

I was ready to buy one of those twisty little table top tripods when the salesman noticed the large lens on my camera. He showed me how the twisty tripod would not support my camera with that lens. He suggested one that would, only $ more. Plus the removable ball head can also be used on my monopod.
