must have
Must have for any kind of interviewing. I do a lot of interviewing in my video work and taking pictures of people across tables or of there products is much easier with a table top tripod.

Nice tripod for light gear
I had a similar Manfrotto TT for many years and I loved it. Solid and light. This Oben has basically the same light and strong legs, but the head is just too flimsy for anything but light gear. To solve the issue I took the head from my old Manfrotto and replaced the Oben head. Its great for travel, as i just put it in my back pocket. With a better ball head it would be 5 star!

Compact, Easy to Use
Tripod has a nice wide stance for support. Great for small cameras. Wouldn't work for an SLR with more than a very small lens.

Too flimsy for expensive items
I bought this to go with my Ricoh Theta V. It was dirt cheap and it is a last resort just to have something small and compact. Legs could use a bit more tension. Ball head feels like it couldn't support a lot of weight or something tall.

Handy package!
Great value and first tabletop tripod for me. Didn't find any better alternatives for my needs with similar price. Can be used for many things, but good to have other pods as well. Seems well built enough to last, but there is no option to change the head if broken, so I hope for the best. Fast delivery overseas.

Nice and very compact
This unit is actually a bit smaller than I thought. Having said that it is well made and sturdy enough to hold my Sony A6000 or my Panasonic G7 with either kit lens or any of my prime lenses. The ball head locks securely and the legs are wide enough to prevent tipping of the camera. Would also be ideal for use with any point and shoot style cameras. What I especially like is I can slip this into my camera bag, takes up very little room but then I always have it along (while my big Manfrotto tripod is all too often left behind). Good item to have at very little expense.

Handy, Dandy Tripod
The Oben TT-50 tabletop tripod is a dandy little tripod for supporting and stabilizing compact P & S camera shots of flowers, landscapes, creepy crawlies and/or for indoor-studio, product applications. It's well built, light and easy to use and store but if you need to support a DSLR camera with an attached macro lens, this is not the tabletop for you. You need a beefier tripod and ball head that can support more weight.

Perfect for It's Niche
I bought it specifically to use for taking pictures off bartops at some biker festivals I attend and photograph. It did not help for that, I discovered that the bar tops vibrated too much for the camera to even focus, but the tripod held fast through the attempts. It is extremely sturdy for it's small size, it holds up a Pentax K-7 with a heavy Sigma 18-250 medium telephoto lens without any struggle, even with the lens extended. It is solidly constructed as well. When not in use it fits in the pocket of my shorts. It is great for travel and will be absolutely perfect for a hiker.

portable and strong
Nice pocketable tripod. simple. can hold a mirrorless and it could be used in landscape mode with a light DSLR as an emergency tripod (better a small tripod like this than no tripod at all) when the photographer does not want to carry a full size one. It is a clone of a Manfrotto I owned many years ago. This generic is quite cheaper than the original

Inexpensive and Well Made
This is well made and will hold up a medsize dslr well enough. because the legs spread so wide you don't have to worry about tipping it over. I use this for table top photography and time lapse.

good compromise between cost/size/sturdy
i use this mostly with my sony nex-6 and it is perfect for the size as it fits my smaller bag with the nex6 and a manual lens and adapter i occasionally use it for my dslr with a prime and it works well but is pushed to its best capacities. i could have bought the more expensive one, with slightly more loading capacity. but it wont have fit my bag, would have cost more, might have been easier to use for its better head. it's a compromise

Top solid support
This little mighty-might combines smooth operation with rock-solid support. It easily anchors a full-size DSLR on top of a variety of surfaces. It adjusts eaisly and accurately. German quality made in China. Especially for the money, you can't go wrong.

Oben TT-50 Does the Job!
I bought this tripod because it is small, light and sturdy. I use it with my iPad and iPhone to video record events and take still pictures while using a remote to trigger the cameras. The low wide base keeps things steady with little movement. Glad I bought it and recommend it to others.

Very good table top tripod
this small tripod can hold my Nikon D200 with lens, battery grip and flash on it. Its legs can be opened so wide that you don't have to be afraid that it will fall over. The ball pen can be fixed firmly. This is a well built, yet cheap tripod

Great mini Tripod for my Sony RX-100
I wanted a small tripod to take along with my Sony RX100M2.This thing is really amazing, The small ball head will even hold up a full blown DSLR.For the Sony it is amazing it fits into a pocket, passes security at the airport without any question. It works great to place against a window to shoot through the glass.Great investment, very light. I definitely recommend this tripod

surprisingly strong
This little tripod holds more than I imagined. I bought it to work with a Canon G1Xm, and found that it would work well with a DSLR and a small lens. It works with a Nikon D610 and a 50mm lens, but I would not want to try it with a longer lens or larger camera. It is small and light, and can be easily carried in a pocket.

compact and sturdy
compact, sturdy and very small. I use it to hold audio recorders or microphones, but it should also support a DSLR easily. good tripod.

Very sturdy!
This tabletop tripod wasn't very impressive to look at when I first saw it, but it soon impressed me with it's tough and durability. I've had it in the weirdest positions and it hasn't let me down once. From the swivel-head to the steel constructions, this is definitely a winner!
