Solid As a Rock
I bought this to replace another expression pedal that I was disappointed with because it felt very delicate, lightweight and a limited envelope on volume swells. It's more for home use. Also, the trs cable was very short making set up more difficult than necessary.. Anyway, the Moog EP-3 has a solid, durable construction and the trs cable has plenty of length. The pedal has a smooth glide to it as well. I have one for home and live set ups.

sexy and smooth
Definitely does what it's supposed to. Smooth control, Sleek looks. One issue - does not have QUITE the full value range when going through my KMI SoftStep 2.. It doesn't hit 127 at the top.. only reaches about 110.. Definitely could be frustrating if looking for certain effects, but with appropriate midi mapping in Ableton my problem can be... not solved, but worked around.

Solid, not too heavy
Pretty sturdy but not too heavy. Nice, smooth action. Rubber things on bottom help it stay put. Comes with a stereo cable which was a nice plus.

Great Pedal with no documentation
Try as I may, I cannot remove a redundant best use. Cc should be CC for Continuous Controller. My first trial at an expression pedal was the Yamaha FC-7. It was not linear. It sent most of the expression data before the pedal was even half way depressed. It was much too difficult to be accurate with it. So I decided to try the Moog EP-3 Expression Pedal. This was based on reviews I read which spoke of the polarity switch and the scalable output k... Show More

possible defect?
Using with Axiom 61 Mk2 in expression in (onboard re-programmed to CC1 - Modulation). However in both default CC11 and CC1, when the pedal is at full heal position, the 0-127 value is at 0. when depressing ever so slightly, the value jumps to mid 20s-30s. about 5 degrees in, the value is already anywhere between 50-70. 50% through the throw, the value is maxed at 127 whereas the remain throw stays capped to 127 obviously. in reverse, the same. to... Solid bi=polar Expression
Well built, metal cased pedal for almost half of what Roland or any other keyboard mfr. charges for their plastic fantastic expression--and it will change polarity with the flick of a switch!

Excellent expression pedal
Wonderful pedal - solid construction and feel even with some plastic. Removable cord is a great feature, use what length I want, not the manufacturer. Finally, and most important, the expression range is evenly spread across the pedal's entire travel range. Much better than the Yamaha I had that did it all in the last 1/10th - unusable. With this pedal you can really Express Yourself
