Great keyboard for a while

Jan 25, 2010

I have this same keyboard both at work and at home. I absolutely love to type on it. The keys work well and the ergonomic shape makes it very easy and (for lack of a better word) natural. It has a lot of extra buttons on it, but I don't use them. Unfortunately, the two I have now are my third and forth ones. The first one was for work. You would have to push the space bar with two fingers or it would misalign and not go down like it should. The s... Show More

The Best Ergonomic Keyboard!

Jan 21, 2010

This keyboard began entering slowly in our work place. Either the company paid for it or it was bought out of pocket. Then I saw it at my best friend's place. I then decided to Google the best price and stumbled on B&H. For the price who could argue?! So I purchased one for use at work since I do most of my heavy duty typing. No regrets. My wrist did not hurt as much and the quick keys definately help. I'm so spoiled by the features and aid this keyboard brought me that I wouldn't mind getting one for home!

Let your fingers do the talking.....

Jan 13, 2010

I have been using the Microsoft Natural keyboard since 1995. I finally wore the 'Alt' key out (at least the left one) and when I went to replace it I found that they don't make that original model anymore. This new 4000 sure is nice. Padded wrist rest is a nice touch and the programmable buttons lead to greater productivity. It even has a backspace key on the numerical keyboard side.

Third time customer

Dec 25, 2009

Quite satisfied with this keyboard. This is my third one - I had to replace the last one when the ; key stopped working. I think ms fixed the stiff space bar; keys feel softer now. The build quality is great. A keyboard working for three years is satisfactory for me. I didn't use the bundled software. I use it with windows 7 and Linux without issues.

comfortable keyboard

Jun 5, 2008

I just got a new laptop computer, and as the keyboard is fairly small, decided to buy a freestanding keyboard for home use. I had owned one of the first generation Microsoft ergonomic boards, and once I got broken in to the different way it felt, really liked it. The new generation boards are even better. Lots of handy keys, usable either as F keys or as specific task keys, very easy to use. My only gripe about this keyboard is since I use a stra... Show More

Stiff touch

Mar 18, 2008

Have used a Microsoft ergonomic for 10+ years. This newer one, although quiet, has a stiff keyboard. I use a keyboard 8-12 hours a day as a medical transcriptionist. I already feel pain in my wrist area because the touch is so stiff compared to previous Microsoft ergonomic keyboards.

Comfortable but odd *feel*

Mar 14, 2008

It works as expected...nothing too shocking. Haven't gotten any use out of the zoom feature but others might. The one beef I have is that the keys pressure is a bit tight. You have to be more precise on hitting the keys than I'm use to. I type all day long and it's somewhat annoying. After a couple weeks of use I still notice it. I find myself using my laptop keyboard frequently when I just want to type something out really quick.
