Good Ergonomic Keyboard and Mouse

Mar 1, 2014

I had the Microsoft Ergonomic Desktop 7000 keyboard and mouse, but the mouse broke, and I looked around for a replacement. I saw that Microsoft had replaced the 7000 model keyboard and mouse with this sculpt ergonomic desktop set. The sculpt ergonomic keyboard has a different design than the 7000 model keyboard, so it takes a little time to become accustomed to it. However, now that I have been using it for a week or so, I like it. The keyboard i... Show More

Best ergonomic keyboard for Mac (so far)

Mar 15, 2015

I'm a coffee shop nomad who spent most of last year recovering from repetitive stress injuries, and needed to seriously create an ergonomic setup for my Macbook Air. I use a Roost stand to loft the screen to a good ergonomic height, and I use this keyboard for typing. (I also use an Evoluent vertical mouse, which is superior to this mouse.) I'm very happy with my purchase as the best keyboard out there -- so far. I qualify it because Microsoft co... Show More

So who doesn't like a challenge?

Dec 26, 2014

I have been programming computers in one context or another for over 20 years and RSI became a serious concern for me about 15 years ago. I started using the older Microsoft ergonomic keyboard with the first model MS released. Although I've used a variety of minicomputers and PCs with a wide variety of keyboards, I've increasingly migrated to developing on laptop PCs, with their variously compromised keyboards. I bought the MS Sculpt Ergonomic De... Show More

Great, until it stops connecting. Poor warranty policy.

May 6, 2017

I've had this keyboard/mouse combo for almost a year now. Over the past four months the mouse has starting having intermittent connection problems. At first, I thought it was me so I tried new batteries, changing the location of the USB dongle, different computer.. you get the idea. None of this helped. Now the keyboard is starting to do the same thing. It is sad because I do love the setup and ease of use, but not if it is only going to last one... Show More

Very nice touch for typing

Jul 27, 2015

I use this keyboard set primarily for email and software development. I chose this set primarily for the chiclet style keyboard. For general typing, the keyboard has a superb touch and I can type faster than on a keyboard with standard keys. I am disappointed with the placement of the arrow keys and the touch of the function keys, but the touch of the keyboard is so nice that this is just a minor issue, and I was able to get used to them. The mou... Show More

I use this keyboard and mouse all day everyday at the office. I'm very happy with how well the ergonomic side of this keyboard is designed - every key is easy to reach. If I had to purchase another keyboard and/or mouse it would NEVER be this specific keyboard/mouse combo. My computer case is right next to my desk with the dongle plugged in. Both the keyboard and mouse often stop responding and just hang for a second or maybe even half a second, bu... Show More

Love It!

Nov 21, 2014

I want to take this keyboard to work with me I love it so much! It's so quiet and soft touch is all you need. I'm finding myself pounding the keys because that's what I'm used to having to do, but this keyboard requires only a soft touch. Great ergo feel to it. The mouse is really nice too. The large size is comfortable to both my husband, who has very large hands, and me with my small hands. I haven't had to use the separate number pad much, but... Show More

Best keyboard and mouse I've owned

Feb 8, 2016

Got one of these for my Surface tablet for work and immediately looked online to find one for home as well (I work at home on Fridays and didn't want to not have this great keyboard there, too). Found an excellent price for this at B&H after searching online so ordered it. It arrived very quickly and was exactly what I wanted. The keys are springy enough to feel great yet not as noisy as my old keyboard. The design is great -- the wireless USB do... Show More

Dont buy it.

Jan 31, 2019

The alphabets and the number keys work fine but the F keys are like rubbers and its kind of hard to press them. The dongle that comes with it is so long (almost 1.5 inch) that it sticks out too much from your computer. If you dont take out the usb dongle every time you put your laptop in your bag, you risk damaging the dongle. If you damage the dongle, neither microsoft nor B&H will do anything about it. This is what happened to me. I contacted ... Show More

Types as good as it looks

Jul 13, 2015

I am a computer user for about 12 hours a day, and this keyboard was one of the easiest I've ever had to learn. Layout and capabilities are great, mouse is comfortable and the ergonomics make the package. Price was good and if you need a 10-key, they include one, if you don't, then it saves space on your desk. Keyboard mappings are easy to create and it just looks very nice. This is my second in 2 years, as the mouse's finish wore through after 2... Show More

Nice Ergo Key Board

Mar 13, 2014

A long time ergo keyboard user I wanted something new that looked good and was wireless. All in all I really like the keyboard, was able to adapt quickly from my prior ergo board, and key spacing etc seem natural. This would be 5 stars except for below: 1) you have to toggle the Function keys - I hate this 2) The 10 key is detached - I do not like this as I keep it beside the keyboard and I find it not being on the same plane as the keyboard (it ... lessens wrist / shoulder pain

Dec 9, 2014

I'm going to buy another for my house. This keyboard mouse combo is truly ergonomic. I have had less wrist and shoulder pain since using. I believe having the mouse closer to the keyboard and not using the number pad has helped. The keys are a little hard to get used to at first as its like typing on a laptop keyboard. Once you memorize where the delete/end/home keys are you will be set.It did come with an attachment for the keyboard that I do not... Show More

Comfortable keyboard that I would buy again

May 23, 2016

The curved design is comfortable for small or large hands. I'll admit that there is a little bit of a learning curve because a few keys are placed differently than my previous keyboard, but I love the design, ease of installation, and comfort. The seperate numerical keypad is fantastic and the negative incline add on is held easy to attach and remove to suit your needs. I ordered one for myself and another person in the office and have had reques... Show More

Solid choice for people with large hands

Jan 12, 2017

I know the intent of the keyboard and mouse is ergonomics but it has an added benefit for people with large hands. The wide separation of the hands and generous spacing between the keys work well for me. Likewise the large mouse that the whole hand can grip is great. I wasn't sure I was going to like the separate number pad but being able to place it where I want it off of the keyboard has been terrific. Not sure people with smaller (relatively speaking) hands would like it as much and the seperate number pad some find an acquired taste. Bottom line for me is...a great choice.

Keyboard OK, mouse horrible

Nov 6, 2018

First set I ordered had to be replaced. The keyboard was malfunctioning. After installing the replacement, I am finding the mouse very difficult to use. This is the best way to describe it: Imagine cutting a smooth bocce or pool ball in half and laying it flat. Now try to pick it up. This mouse has some non-grip textures, but anyone using a mouse has to periodically lift it and move it to continue moving the cursor. The design makes it very difficult to pick up the mouse without my hand slipping off. The keyboard is OK to use...nothing that makes me say Wow!.

Great Build Quality, Works flawlessly with Windows 10

Feb 21, 2016

The form factor is much smaller than the previous ergonomic keyboard. It feels very solid. I like the fact that the number pad is separate, giving me flexibility in where to place it. The mouse at first didn't feel all that comfortable, but once I got used to it, I really like it. At first, I was missing the forward button on the mouse, but realized that I can configure it so that pressing on the wheel acts as forward. Everything worked well right off the bat with Windows 10. The best keyboard/mouse combination I've had.

So good I had to buy another one for work.

Aug 22, 2016

For years I've used an older microsoft ergo keyboard and I needed a new one. I'm quite impressed with the new design. Wireless is awesome and the mouse is the best I've used. Originally I bought for my home, but after using it I had to buy one for work as well. Superb product. Only question I have is: The mouse feels oriented towards right-handed people (which I am), but what if a left-handed person is using the setup?

amazing keyboard

Mar 17, 2017

Very ergonomic in shape. You will need some practice on keyboard because the layout is a bit different, you will need to develop muscle memory. But the mouse is amazing. I like the mouse more than keyboard, but since i don't want to use 2 ports for different mouse and keyboard her I am typing on it as I write this.. I bought it from B&H because no tax for cali residents : )

The best ergonomic keyboard available out there!

Apr 6, 2017

Overall a very good product. I actually have one in the office, and one at home. However, I deducted 1 star for the following reasons: a) The keypad battery doesn't seem to last long, or when it's working, it takes a while to wake up (get connected) b) The palm rest picks up dust/dirt rather quickly over time, and the textured surface makes it very difficult to clean

One out of three isn't too bad

Jan 22, 2017

I really like the keyboard but couldn't get used to the mouse. The mouse is somewhat of a cross between a vertical mouse and a regular one and I couldn't figure it out. The keyboard has a different feel to it, sort like a laptop's. But I'm getting used to it. I type numbers using the ones on the top of the keyboard so I don't need the separate numbers keyboard.

I really like this keyboard

Jul 4, 2016

The keyboard lines up just right - elbows, wrists, fingers just where they should be to minimize stress. It's helped with issues related to overuse. I like the feel of the rest for the wrists - just soft enough. The shape of the mouse I don't like quite as well, but it does keep my wrist straight. A friend recommended it to me and I would recommend to others.

Excellent ergonomic keyboard!

Aug 17, 2015

I have used ergonomic keyboards now for at least 10 years and am truly enjoying the Sculpt Ergonomic. The design leaves my hands and wrists in a relaxed position while I type (and I type a lot!), and the spacing is very natural. I also like the feel of the keys and the light touch I can use to depress them. It's easily the best ergonomic I've owned yet!

This is the best available replacement for the Ergonomic Microsoft Wireless Natural Multimedia Keyboard. The style, touch, and detachable numeric pad are improvements. Unfortunately, after only a year or two the mouse and keys on my first one became less responsive (one star deducted). I hope this second one fares better.

Wireless great Keyboard key action great Keypad great Mouse buttons great For a little bigger than average hands it's the biggest/smallest form factor you can get. I have the 7000 series and like the size as the keyboard and mouse fit my hands. This is the closest I have found to size and abilities I like.
