Does the job

Mar 10, 2019

A bit bigger than I realised it would be (more square than a normal binder). Easily fits sheets with 7 rows of negatives. Feels reasonably sturdy and the d-rings work well. Would recommend.

Solid binder and fits 36 exp. negative archival sheets

Mar 8, 2017

The only archival binder I use because it fits 36 exp. negative archival sheets. Sturdy, good quality rings, easy to use.

06-102 Binder Box (1.5 O-Ring, Black) by Archival Methods

I use this product to store negatives and contact sheets. It's great because it's easy to use and very light. It is not great because it is just slightly too small to store 11x14 prints, which seems like a very useful extra purpose that I was expecting from it.

Gets the job done

I use this binder to hold my negative sleeves. the cardboard seems a bit flimsy to me but I guess you get what you pay for

LOVE these boxes!

Jan 4, 2015

I own several of these and I will be buying more in the future. REALLY convenient in how the rings don't bend the sheet holders when the box is closed. Holds many pages. Stacks well. Durable. A little pricey, but that's very relative and the design and effectiveness when compared to inferior similar products greatly outweighs the cost in the long run.

Fine for archiving

Dec 11, 2012

Good in general. The 3-rings are of good quality. The box is not super sturdy. Sometimes the box folds in the wrong way. This is no big deal and a easy fix. For archiving it is probably fine. If you are taking it off and on the shelf a lot, it is a bit clumsy. I would prefered to have gotten a bit more expensive sturdy album.

Archival Binder Box

Perfect dustfree for storage of Prints and Negatives. The only small issues are there tends to bits of cardboard from the trimmed edges in the box and the binder rings could be heavier.

Good binder box

Jun 1, 2011

This is a nice binder box for general photo and negative storage. It could work for documents as well if you wanted it to. It's quite nice as far as boxes go, keeps the dust out and protects the contents from light. The only way it is lacking is that the material composing the box isn't quite as thick and rigid as I'd like to see it.

i use the binder box as my portfolio and it works great for me. it fits all of my prints and my negative holders. plus the light tight design will keep my prints from being faded.

Perfect for storing prints and negatives

Mar 2, 2011

I'm an amateur photographer, but I need a good storage solution for prints and negatives. The binder box is well made, stackable, and roomy enough that I can use it with a wide range of page protectors. Because the box opens flat, it also works well as a presentation binder. I bought only one at first so I can see if I like it. Now I know I'll be buying more.

Outstanding archival resource

Feb 9, 2011

This binder box is the ideal resource for storing plastic sleeves of 35mm negatives, slides and prints. It is well constructed, light and dust tight, and easy to stack. It enables effective organization and easy retrieval of photographic materials.

inexpensive solution

I use a separate binder for negs from different projects. It fits any size, like those large pages that hold strips of 3 6x7 negs etc. Sorta flimsy but also not hard on the wallet.

It's a box

Jun 28, 2010

Pretty simple ... not much more than a box with binder rings in it. It's a heavy paper/cardboard material with metal reinforcing in the corners. It seems sturdy enough. I wouldn't stack things on top of it (except maybe more binder boxes) though. If you need something stronger than this, you probably need some kind of metal/plastic box. Holds about 100 pages, maybe a little more. The rings close securely, no gaps where the two halves meet. Easily fits 6 frame long negative holders.

It's a Binder

The picture is a bit deceiving, it does not come with any photo sleeves. The outside is a thin cardboard, it holds pictures so thats good.

Excellent for storing negatives!

Feb 3, 2010

This is an excellent box for archiving / storing negatives and contact sheets. The material could be a little sturdier (It feels like stiff cardboard) but I am satisfied with it. It certainly isn't to be used as a portfolio as it's a big ugly black box!

I give these binders to clients with matted photographs. They are comparatively inexpensive, but look and feel good.

protects, but

Works for storage and protection of prints, negatives etc. I've had the box a couple weeks and the edges are already starting to wear away. The sides are fraying - it still does its purpose, just doesn't look as nice.
