It's Small, It's quick and It's easy
I purchased this 2TB drive for my iMac's Time Machine backups. It was reformatted in just a few minutes and my 400 and some MB backup was off and running in less than 5 minutes from taking it out of the package. It's so small it fits in almost any pocket. I've been using WD drives for years.

Good Purchase
I purchased the 4TB Elements external HD as a back up for the 4TB desktop Elements HD. The desktop version will replace my saving images onto my iMac HD and using up HD space. This external HD was easy enough to reformat for the iMac OS, with the assistance of a B&H staff member, and has properly performed for the past 7 backups. It is extra steps but my iMac HD was 2/3 full and I needed to do something. The Elements HD's have been reliable for me.

Good value + speedy
Clocks about 115MB/s read+write in Blackmagic speed test on my Mac Pro. Very lightweight drive, plastic housing does not seem super heavy duty. Overall seems like a great value.

External Storage
This one of best portable storage devices I own. I use it for backup, travel, and long term storage. It is fast and reliable. The cost is so reasonable... I even stored the 1,000s of photos of the grandchildren and gave it to my son so he has history of his children growing up that is not lost on a cell phone upgrade. Highly recommended.

Working great, this WHOLE week!
The hard drive just arrived a week ago. It was and is everything I was expecting it to be. the size is what sold me 3.25"x4.375"x0.75" fits in Box just right. and at 2 TB saves tons of pictures

Works well and is quiet.
This drive works well with my linux desktop, windows 10 laptop, and samsung chromebook. It is extremely quiet.

Handy External Drive.
While I am just using it as an external drive for extra space; making the backup software superfluous to me, others might find using it for a periodic a backup to be most useful. Formatted for Windows, transfer speeds with my computer system I bought specific for my photography is great. 85Gig of data transfering in a few minutes instead of hours is a time saver.
