AFFORDABLE
AFTER MUCH RESEARCH ON THIS CAMERA I DECIDED THAT THIS WAS THE ONE FOR ME WITH A HUGE PLUS BEING THE SHOULDER MOUNT...ALSO THIS WAS MENTIONED BEFORE BUT I THINK IT BEARS REPEATING THAT THE VIEWFINDER MOUNT DOES NOT EXTEND OUT FROM THE BODY THAT MUCH...I AM STILL LEARNING ITS MANY FEATURES...OVERALL IM HAPPY WITH IT!

Leisure sight spectrum
I've been into videography for a long time and, since I've been originally into shoulder mount camcorders like back in the old days of VHS cassettes, this top-of-the line camcorder enables me to do things I've never done before and, plus, it does a great deal in broadening my "creative horizons," if you will. Exceptional ingenuity!!!

Head and Shoulders Above
While the MC2500 is entry level for the professional camcorders, it is far superior in both quality of the optics and the sound compared to the high end consumer grade camcorders. In my opinion, easier to use as well. An excellent value for the money!

Nice camera, but....
Although this camera is pretty awesome, I wish the viewfinder would pull out another inch so my face isn't squashed against the side since I have to use my left eye with the viewfinder.

its good
This camera works great. I was concern about the 1/3 sensor but it helps with low light. Great value camera for the over the shoulder market. Not a camera I would use for cinema style shooting (moving the camera around a lot). Face tracking is my favorite feature.

Great form factor, grainy image.
This shoulder mount camcorder has a great feel on the shoulder, but the image quality is less than desirable when I tried to match it with my Sony HXR-NX3. Too grainy and the colors don't match. If you are not used to a higher quality camera, the image is acceptable. The viewfinder and LCD screens are bright and clear. The on camera light is plus. Love this camera!
We bought this camera to use at our church and it is amazing. We use it on the balcony and the zoom to the pulpit is excellent. Great quality. We're just starting to play around with the features but it's all going amazingly smooth. We immediately noticed the difference in picture when switching from our outdated SD camera. it looks professional and gives you that professional feel but at a great price! Will be buying another one soon!

HXR-MC2500 Shoulder Mount AVCHD Camcorder
This is a great camera. Evidently there are two productions of this model. The 2016 production model is a great quality item. Couldn't be more satisfied with all aspects of its performance. We're using it in a fixed in-house setting connected to our switcher via HDMI.

This camera is easy to hold and is very easy to use as well. And it is also great for this price. It also has many great features as well. It is not even bad in low light either.

I am extremely impressed with this outstanding Camera .
I would give it 5 stars but I have had some difficulty getting the focus perfected. Ordered Sony HXRMC2500 from B&H 6/1/16 and it arrived 6/3/16 . Videoed the 1st. AM Church Service 6.5.16 & each Sunday thru yesterday & the completed video yesterday was Great. We've completed our videos for this month , We begin July with the knowledge that our Senior Shut-ins will not be disappointed when their DVD arrives - and I film approx 60 feet from balcony to Pulpit , Choir ,etc. Thanks B&H = Great people to work with. . The color and audio could not be beat .

Awesome!
I recently bought this camera for personal use and practice. I used it this year for the 30a Songwriters festival for a tv company and the quality was amazing. Light weight and good stability. Battery lasts a while. The only probably I have seen is I don't like the way the internal memory is set up and how you have to download the footage. I would use SD cards but that's just me! Over all a fantastic camera. Thinking of getting other in the future.

Great Camera
I have a JVC Camcorder similar to this one but this one is much better over all. Easy to use. Great Picture. Used recently at an outdoor wedding that went into the night. Picture stayed clear the whole time and the camera light is super bright. Over all, very happy with it and am looking to get another one.

Excellent camcorder for the price
Very good: video quality, easy to use,color white balance excellent, I have I Sony z5u and bought this one as second camera and they make a good match in color and quality. I like the Wi fi future. I owned a Panasonic in the same range of price but this one is much better.

Great camera, But...
The HXR-MC2500 is a great camera. I use it often, doing video production in church services, as well as weddings. The only flaw I've found with this camera, is that the Viewfinder has no expansion. I have to really press my cheek firmly against the camera in using the eyecup. After 15 minutes of recording, this becomes uncomfortable.

Best in class, for the price...
Very impressed. Light weight but solidly built. NFC and wifi make it easy to setup and remotely operate. Good feature set. You're getting 90% of a much more expensive pro camera (think, TV studio ENG level snobbery) for at least half the cost. No XLR inputs, but, 3.5mm in matched with a DR60 Audio interface at a few hundred dollars gives you better quality than say, a Canon XA 10 or 20 like (built in) setup. Great camera
This camera gets the job done, lightweight, but oh so versatile. It works great in tandem with my Sony HXR NX 30. The quality in both audio and video is great. This is one of those camera's that you have to keep going back to manual as you find out more of it's great features. I especially like being able to control the camera from my smartphone while manning a second camera. I would recommend this camera to anyone either beginner or seasoned pro. My only thought would be it would be nice if the lens was removable, but that has yet to be an issue, and the accessory lenses should be just fine.

So Much Better Camera
Grate Quality Videos just like MC 1500, I liked it/ Wifi conicevety n Remote is the much more better things in it. Led Light inbuilt is useful for close up shoot at night.
